She used to be a boy until she met a person she thought was a magic user. This person gave him/her a magical book from which a genie appears to grant one wish when blood is applied to it. Megumi made the wish to be a man in a man's body but the genie has a twist: he grants wishes backwards so he turns Megumi-kun aged 9 to Megumi-chan. Years pass and Megumi enters High School where she immediately beats up the school bully who of course falls in love with her. She is looking for that book again to be able to reverse the spell placed upon her.(Source: ANN)Related Entries Tenshi na Konamaiki MALxJapan -More than just anime- Characters & Voice Actors Staff 1: ''Grand Blue'' by Kitahara Aiko (episodes 1-26) 2: ''Sun Rise Train'' by Kitahara Aiko (episode 27-50) 1: ''Whenever I think of you'' by Yuuka Saegusa (episodes 1-14) 2: ''It's for you'' by Yuuka Saegusa (episodes 15-26) 3: ''Tears go by'' by Yuuka Saegusa (episodes 27-37) 4: ''Secret and lies'' by Yuuka Saegusa (episodes 38-49) 5: ''Grand blue'' by Kitahara Aiko (episode 50) Reviews Feb 1, 2022 Loved it; would rewatch; would recommend. It might just be because it's been a long time since I've seen an anime set in high school, but I really enjoyed what this show had to offer. I went into it thinking it would offer a perspective on gender identity issues, which honestly made me hesitant based on worries that it would come off like an unwanted sermon. While it does touch on such issues, it never felt like I was being talked at. Heck, it might have been a more interesting story had it gone deeper into the gender issues.Rather than get stuck on the gender issues,... the episodes usually feel like hanging out with a bunch of misfits who turn out to be pretty fun. I love the main character, Megumi Amatsuka. She can be rough and tough at times, or elegant and gentle at other times. She's very pretty without being particularly sexualized. Based on the whole gender aspect, I expected a lot more fanservice, but what's there is all pretty tastefully done. You could totally watch this with your parents and not get interrogated. In contrast to the lack of overt sexualization, there was a whole lot more fighting than I expected. I'm a sucker for fights in non-battle anime, so that was a bit of an unexpected surprise. This anime isn't particularly ambitious in any category, but for reminding me just how much fun anime can be, I want to give it a 10/10. It's no emotional rollercoaster or anything like that, but every episode was an absolute joy to watch. It can be really exciting at times, but never stressful. I feel like this will eventually become a comfort show for me personally. Reviewer’s Rating: 10 What did you think of this review? Both openings are super solid, make sure to check them out on youtube to get people turned on to this story please, thank you!not the most trope free or complex characters, but the cast is charming. Megumi in particular is amazing.plot is engaging enough, if you're curious to know what Megumi's fate ends up as.~~speaking of, if you're reading this, most important take away if you haven't watched Cheeky Angel:[ READ THE... MANGA FIRST]. the ending arc has real danger and legitimate suspense, and the conclusion is great. the anime loses serious points from me because they dull down the danger in the final arc and it has a directly opposite conclusion to its source material. having read the manga after watching the first episode i can say it was the best move. they made some questionable edits that actually ruined the conclusion so do the same as I did.
