However, all the new technologies are put into military use, beginning a new round of arms race. Vanguards, as the most significant achievement of the modern bioengineering and the most advanced weapon, are widely utilized in the race. Although vanguards are exceptionally combat-effective, their life expectancy is shortened by the nanomachines they use. Usually, most vanguards will retire from the army after a number of years in service. The heroine Liuli has also consumed too much of her lifespan after executing missions for a long time. With only 380 days left in her life, Liuli receives a new mission, to rescue a hostage being held in a civilian facility. It is without doubt a difficult mission for a vanguard like Liuli, who only knows how to kill and battle. However, Liuli obediently decides to accept the mission in the end.During the mission, Liuli surprisingly finds that the man who holds the hostage was once a vanguard. The former vanguard Zhongrong Zhou cries and asks the government to hand over the son of Eden. As a vanguard, Liuli feels deep contempt against Zhou. To eliminate the scum of the vanguards, a battle between two vanguards begins...(Source: Official site, edited)Related Entries Chu Feng MALxJapan -More than just anime- Characters & Voice Actors Staff 1: "The Lost Eden" by Youmao (呦猫) 2: "The Lost Eden" by ALAN Reviews May 30, 2016 For the anime, the initial episodes (1 and 2) were actually rather great, loved the animation and such. Nothing wrong with Chinese or Japanese audio either. The anime did a proper job displaying the character's personalities too. However, the real problem is that the show was only 6 episodes long, each being less than 15 mins long. The anime ended in an incomplete way, the relationship was really rushed and forced. This anime is somewhat a shame that compared to the manga. Story-wise, the first two episodes was according to manga, but later drifted away.If you've been a follower of the manga, sure, just watch it,... why not. Otherwise I really can't recommend this show. Read the manga, where there's actually a better story, WAY BETTER art style, like holy crap Ruri/Lui Li is hella pretty in the manga. Also more character development, and gruesome action scenes. This anime may be to advertise the manga but we all can see it didn't do so well. Trust me, if you want to enjoy this series, read the mango ok! :) Reviewer’s Rating: 7 What did you think of this review? So here goes. WARNING THERE IS A BIT OF SPOILER NOTHING BIG JUST A LITTLE READERS HAS BEEN ADVISED!!!This anime was pretty darn good for just six episodes. I really wanted more. The story is pretty well put together. A cyborg girl deprived of human interaction of kids her age and a young boy who has some hidden power. I like the fact that his powers were hidden and it only gave you bits and pieces of it until it manifested a little. Now the only question left with that is what are his... powers exactly? I think it paced itself pretty well for just six episodes. I have to say her having to protect the guy and being from a military-type background is similar to Fullmetal Panic in away. Just with a more serious tone and cyborgs instead of mecha. Now the animation was ify for me. There are some really awesome fight sequences and then there are moments where it looks like it was just...low budgeted for that week or something. For the first episode, the blood scenes were hilarious. It reminds me of some type of filter or something. It wasn't realistic like at all. Only for a few moments. It had a bit of realism smeared with some thrown together animation blood splatter on the camera. The opening scene animations looked soooooo well done and put together and for the animation to leave off on episode two leave so many unanswered questions as to who are the other cyborg looking kids in the scenes of it! Also, I want to see Ruri fight that girl who looks a lot like Ken's crush. The opening scene sound track and the ending was superb. It's definitely a banger that can go into my playlist when I'm arting on Twitch. There are also a few soundtracks within the show that was pretty good. However, the lip to voice movement for the Chinese language with the characters was off at times. Orrrr maybe it was just me. Like I mentioned before the characters give me other anime vibes a bit. Like Ruri reminds me of Sgt. Sagara from Fullmetal panic with the seeming ineptness for civilian lifestyle. However, in this anime, I think the "civilians" were actually military pawns. Or, they were real civilians being used by the military or some type of outside force. Also, the villain in the story Dr. White Snake has the exact same personality as one of the villains in Fullmetal panic. I'm not mad at it. I love crazy bastards like them. Mostly love them when they are being chaotic lawful though. But as for some of the side characters like the love interest, she gives me a bit of an eh vibe. I also hate that they did that stupid fall on the girl trope. But, it worked for the benefit of plot and character development and not just thrown in there out of the blue like so many anime do. If the anime would have continued passed episode 6 there would have been some character development for Ruri towards Ken making her more human in his eyes rather then a killing cyborg. Also, these bastards had the nerve to fully introduce a new character in episode 6. Like what are we going to do with that? YALL NEED TO FINISH IT! But whatever, I'm going to read the manga. The character clothing and sci-fi design were pretty good. I like the concept and look of Ruri's B.E.E. Also the other girl's battle outfit I think was a preying mantis. The tech in the show was of good quality. But they did have those ball-like mechs. I'm not complaining too much but they could have probably upgraded the designs on those mechs if they got full functioning cyborgs. Or maybe cyborgs were more inexpensive then mechs. Idk. All in all, it's a good show for the little that it has and I would recommend others to watch it if it's their cup of tea. Reviewer’s Rating: 7 What did you think of this review? Sound: well I like the opening and endingEnjoyment: if you like girls fighting then this is for youOverall: it's actually average though, it's not an anime of the year but, it's fairly average, that is if you can handle the low budget artwork and animation :D Reviewer’s Rating: 6 What did you think of this review?
