Most people shrug them of as time wasters when in actuality they can be sometimes better then full 24 minutes 12 episodes long series. Given, lots of these short anime are either kids shows, softcore porn meant for women or Isekai Quartet, but there are so many gems that people not check out because they are so short. This is one of those gems. This anime is about a grandpa pretending to be old and fragile just to charm his wife. That's it. It is short, easy to understand and has lots of potential. This anime is pretty darn cute.... While it is one of those "one joke" comedies, its short length makes its humor not feel stale (or atleast, it is not yet stale). And to give this anime credit, it has some pretty creative moments. The anime has quite the nice artstyle. It doesn't have lots of animation, but there is definitely effort placed into this anime. Also, the ED with the humming grandpa is cute.Yeah, this anime is a fun time. Every episode is only one minute long and there are five episodes out now. It takes longer to read this review then watching one episode, so get out there and watch this show. Even if you end up hating it, the episodes are so short the pain will be brief. This show consists of him and his wife (Grandma) living their daily life in which he finds ways to swoo her off her feet despite how long they've been together. Its a really cute, very short anime that makes you appreciate Grandpa's talent in the art of about giving Grandma a heart attack with his sudden onset of extreme charm. Also they're an incredibly cute elderly couple, and we don't see a lot of romantic endeavors between said demographic in anime. Its fun to watch! This show is exactly what the synopsis says, and it revels in it. You know the punchline, and yet when the punchline comes, its still just as charming.Komatta Jiisan left me with a glow after I finished it, even though it was 12 at night and I was exhausted. I just...honestly kinda... love it.I may not recommend this to any of my friends, but if you are wondering if you should watch this, DO IT. There's no reason not to. Not that there is anything wrong with that but, these days there is hype for a series and we end up watching a very disappointing anime that had potential but they tried too hard to cater to that deep, dark backstory and fail.Komatta Jiisan is a breath of fresh air from all of that. It is about an... old man flirting with his wife and trying to make her blush. It is very adorable, funny and addictive to watch. Each episode is only a minute long and is completely enjoyable.I wanted to watch this like a commercial in between every episode of other anime I was watching but, ended up binging all the available episodes. This is a must-watch. Reviewer’s Rating: 8 What did you think of this review? Komatta Ji-san does this perfectly. The story is, of course, non-existant. It's not about a story, it's about a feeling. An old grandpa who is still in love with his wife and puts the moves on her every chance he gets. It's super cute! Of course, because it is a short I can only rate it a 6 0 since well there is no story, the art sometimes feels like they are just moving puppets around and... the overall quality is a bit lackluster. Having said all that. this is worth a watch because the cute factor can't be denied, and it did manage to wring out a few chuckles out of me. Overall I recommend this if you have couple of minutes on a busy day. Reviewer’s Rating: 6 What did you think of this review?
