This shows animation is horrible, but it wierdly enough made the show all the more better in this case. The show was almost always had bad 3D animation and sometimes a barely ok 3 second (at most) 2D animation. The story was ok until the last episode where it upgraded from ok to a slightly better version of ok. The characters are fine, but my personal favorite was the rip off... Dio (in looks) that was a CIA agent that also said random things that made no sense, exept for the time he said "I didn't know you were a sadist". I like how dumb it is that Kuruma was named "Car" pretty much. The best part about all of this is that the people making this clearily never really took it seriously so it wasn't the kind of show that was meant to be good.Which makes it so instead of you pausing every few seconds out of cringe, pain and suffering, you just laughed at its stupidity. This is GOLD for people that love bad TV shows but don't want to deal with the after effects of a bottomless void of questioning why you were so much of a masochist that you made yourself suffer watching a show well also simultaneously giving yourself depression. 10/10 purely cause it didn't make me feel a void cause I realized I just wasted hours of my life watching bad trash instead of good trash. The premise was cool and I liked the overall idea initially, though I found myself losing interest quite a few times throughout the story. The CGI needed work. I know it's a new studio and they tried, but I don't think that's a valid excuse for producing subpar animations. It was really difficult to start watching because of this. The 3D animations felt out of place; they didn't look natural. There were weird switches between 3D and 2D. Sometimes there were 2D animations in the background with 3D... main characters. You'd wonder if they meant to put 2D animations at certain spots or if they forgot/got too lazy to put 3D. It was just really odd. The OST was decent. I neither liked nor disliked the music, but it just didn't stand out.Other than that, I found the characters pretty enjoyable. I liked Botan's character because you don't really get strong girl MCs often. And even though she is a strong ninja who likes making jabs at Kuruma, she also has such a big heart for helping others. The interactions between those two characters were quite fun to watch at times. Also, the seiyuu cast is amazing if you are into that. Overall, it's not too bad and can be a fun anime to watch on the side IF you have the time, can get past the weird CGI, and have low expectations. But if you don't watch it, you're not missing out on anything really. There's definitely better anime to watch this season. Reviewer’s Rating: 5 What did you think of this review? Is it that bad? Kind of yes, but mostly for different reasons.Don't get me wrong, this show is ugly. 3D is half-baked at best, constantly supplemented with bottom-tier 2D (outside of nice backgrounds), inconsistently animated (sometimes quite well, sometimes atrociously when the team rushed important scenes and patchworked stuff together in the most jarring ways). It's not as broken as Ex-arm and not as hideous as Gibiate, but that's basically the only positive thing you can say about Tesla Note's looks. At least the inappropriately-high-quality voice cast does their absolute best to bring the over-the-top characters and cringy... comedy to life, giving the show some kind of charm...However, it all can't distract you from how stupid it all is. Not the weird-anime-shit kind of way, more like something written entirely by a not-very-talented grade schooler. The plot is nonsense, the pseudo-science is insultingly dumb whenever it even tries to explain anything, and all of that is already bad... But the character motivations and everyone's behaviour in life-threatening situations are just unforgivable. Nothing makes sense here and the longer the show goes, the less it comes together. And it's not like it gives up on telling a story, it tries to have both comedic and serious moments, comic relief characters and people we should care about... But it's just so shallow and fails so hard to follow any kind of logic. I don't think I've seen anything this poorly-written since Skelter+Heaven and I'm willing to believe 90% of it is s***-tier source material. Why did anyone bother to adapt this into anime? I can't begin to imagine.Do not watch, unless morbidly curious. Reviewer’s Rating: 3 What did you think of this review?
