From Ms. Shitara's relentless but always ineffective sexual pursuit of young Takagi to the adventures of the heroicly stupid but cute Sushi Cat, you will be mystified at the silliness of it all but find yourself laughing for the same reason! "Let's Nupu Nupu"'s short, snappy episodes made this a light and easy anime. Alongside this, it had above average comedic value, however, it doesn't compare to many comedy anime that have come after this. This may have been made in the late 90s, but I believe that the production value of this show is incredulously low. Plus, the lip sync is a poor excuse of a 'sync'. The majority of the time the characters lips are just flapping about. You can tell this anime is adapted from a 4-koma... as the episodes do not follow from each other. In one aspect, this is a nice touch as it respects the demographic it was adapted from. However, it's sometimes nice to have one flowing story-line which is easy to comprehend. The characters are really enjoyable...well two of them are anyway. I'm pretty certain that most of the viewers were invested in the nurse and middle-school boy, I know I were. Yes, it may have been an illegal relationship and some the the child's reactions to the nurse's mishaps were a bit under-exaggerated. Also, as you went though the series the pair got less and less screen time, making me truly want to tear my hair out of my scalp.Overall, I wouldn't say that it's a waste to watch this, in fact the opposite (especially since it's like really short). It's light-hearted and forced a chuckle out of me a couple of times.--p.s there's a tiny bit of censoring but that doesn't take anything away from the story. Decided to throw the audience into the mix without a helpful hand from a narrator. With the plot not being extravagant there was no real harm in picking up story-line by-oneself. Speaking of story-line i am not sure having multiple stories in this anime was a good call. There was a story about a sexually powered nurse and a student, elementary teacher, a cat trying to get by, a hamster along with some more. The all fell under the category of comedy. It was nice to get... a different setting/characters every now and then but the stories didn't mix with each other. If anything one could say they could have been individual mini anime stories. There needed to be a stronger glue foundation. Say for example with the hamster stories this may mix together as a starting movie in the elementary teacher's class. Which would teach her students how to get along with pets.Ending was disappointing. I was expecting the final episode to show a what if scenario between the main female nurse and the boy. What if the student went along with the nurse's strong feelings? Although, i will never now for that story wasn't even mentioned at all in the last episode. It referred only to the other minor stories like the cat. As for the credits to state on break what is that supposed to mean? Is the artists/writers uncertain if they want to a follow up season in the future? Was there a budget crisis that stopped production? Also, why was some of the episode ending credits slightly different? For example different paid amounts and different character's actions. Was it trying to express something? Or was it simply to keep the ending from getting boring?Overall, this is a short comedy anime about frustration. Not about funny lines. Sure, they may go a little overboard with content but at least they show some restraint by hiding the brutal events. Such as the bear scene and the birthday suit. The jokes are also very simple and nuance-less, so if you think a teacher assaulting and sexually harassing a child is funny, they do that about 20 times. About halfway through the show, she burst through the roof of the boy's dentist appointment and tried to drool in his open mouth, and from then on I just really wanted it to end.Basically, this anime is just 'adult' humour in the lowest common denominator kinda way. Every other joke boils... down to haha sex/haha sex pest and the rest aren't even memorable enough to offset this. You can tell where most of these bits are going to go from the moment the characters show up onscreen. Seriously, it's to the point where when I see that some new characters are a pair of siblings, I immediately expect their entire bit to be incest. And of course, it is.I'd discuss the other recurring segments, but I don't have much to say about them. Sushi Cat appears to be Let's Nupu Nupu's attempt to make a mascot character, but his bits are rather directionless and change completely every few episodes, leaving him rather bland -- the nurse and student end up far more emblematic of the show. There's a hamster who disappears after like 2 episodes never to be seen again, and a teacher of young children who appears in the last like 3 episodes. Otherwise, every other recurring segment revolves around the aforementioned sex jokes.Overall, it's far from the worst anime I've seen, but I spent far too much of the runtime wishing for it to end or wishing for a bit to be over to say anything nice about it.P.S.: The nonce nurse might still actually be better than Marimo, who's entire gag is she's a little kid who magically turns into an adult and then her clothes get tight and she gets off to that.
