| **Welcome!**This community is meant to be a tool for organizing Gothic Lolita meet-ups in New Mexico and its immediate vicinity (i.e. El Paso, TX and other border cities)—anything from tea parties, sewing circles, birthday parties, and excursions to local parks and points of interest. We also may organize local-only group orders from brand shops like Baby the Stars Shine Bright, etc.Community RulesAll posts must be related to New Mexico or it's direct vicinity (e.g. El Paso, Texas, which lies on the New Mexico border). All posts must also be relevant to Gothic Lolita fashion.Please be curteous. Above and beyond simply being polite, this also means that if you are considering attending a meet-up, please be sure to R.S.V.P. on time, if and only if you are reasonably sure you will be able to make it. For some meet-ups, it is more acceptable to back out at the last minute than others, however, for most, you will probably be saving your hostess considerable time, effort, and expense by not saying that you can come when you really can't.All images larger than 400x400 pixels must be placed under an LJ-cut (if you don't know what that is or how to make one, please go here). In addition, only 2 pictures are allowed to be placed outside of a cut.Do not change the color of the text in your posts; it's annoying and may render your post unreadable on other people's friends pages. Gigantic text is also prohibited.Sales posts are not allowed. The only exception is if you are a LOCAL seamstress or accessory-maker, however, please note that you may only advertise here ONCE. That advertisement may contain some information about you (where you're from in particular), some pictures of your products under a cut, with a link to the site where you conduct (or will be conducting) your business. Other than that, please direct your sales posts to 
egl_comm_sales instead.Please do not make posts asking, "Is this lolita?" There are other communities where these posts are not only more appropriate, but would get a much larger response.Gothic Lolita is a fashion; it has nothing to do with any kind of sexual fetish (in fact, it is one of the least sexual fashions out there). It is about being modest, elegant, and cute rather than sexy. That said, we allow people who are under the age of 18 to join and attend meet-ups whenever appropriate, though potential meet-ups may not all be limited to minor-friendly events. We do not allow any posts which are of a sexually oriented nature, and anyone who posts something soliciting sex will be automatically banned.This community is maintained by

You may join freely, but any posts you make will have to be screened by mysticmysterya before they will appear publicly.
