As such any software or application based upon speech recognition has a high degree of acceptance and a wide range of applications in defense, security, health care, and home automation. Speech is a waffling signal with varying characteristics at a high rate. When examined over a very short scale of time, it can be considered as a stationary signal with very small variations. In this paper, authors have worked upon the detection of a single user using multiple isolated words as speech signals. For designing the system, feature extraction using Mel-frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCCs) and feature matching using dynamic time warping (DTW) are considered as the designing of the system because of its simplicity and efficiency. Short-time spectral analysis is adopted which is the main part of the MFCC algorithm used in feature extraction. To compare any two signals varying in speed or having phase difference between them, DTW is used. Since two spoken words can never be the same, the DTW algorithm is best suited to compare two words.

Artificial Neural Networks along with wavelets provide functions for synthesizing and analyzing the signals and data that exhibits regular behavior punctuated with abrupt changes. This research work concentrates on discrimination between two classes of EEG signals; one acquired from healthy persons and other from epileptic patients. T his article proposes a method for analyzing the brain signals by reliable extraction of attributes using different mother wavelets as Haa r, Coifle t, Daubechies and Sym let and classification of epilepsy disorder using neural networks. An exhaustive analysis points to best suited mother wavelet to extract the attributes that further act as input the machine learning algorithm. The design achieved desired functions of branch-line coupler for differential-mode and common-mode signal with the merits of a simple configuration and a design method, low insertion loss, and low cost. Design parameters present in the equations provides two degree of freedom. In this paper, power at the output ports is considered as a known parameter. The power division is obtained at the output using impedance values. Isolation achieved for the unequal power division is less than 20dB. A good agreement is obtained between numerical and full wave electromagnetic simulation results.

Hence, it is imperative to analyze the EEG signals using a consistent and appropriate processing method in order to obtain correct diagnoses for the treatment of epilepsy.

The empirical results obtained in this research work indicate that the proposed NN-D ensemble classification method yielded maximum classification accuracy of 99.4% as compared to other ensembles. Hence, it shows the effectiveness of the proposed method for classification of epileptic EEG signals.

Branch line coupler is configured by four quarter wavelength transmission line.

EEG has capability to reflect all the activity of the brain, so it has been found to be a very powerful tool in the field of neurology and clinical neurophysiology [38]. Despite the fact that EEG is an important clinical tool for diagnosing, monitoring and managing neurological disorders, distinct difficulties associated with EEG analysis and interpretation hindered its wide-spread acceptance. Hence, it is imperative to analyze the EEG signals using a consistent and appropriate processing method in order to obtain correct diagnoses for the treatment of epilepsy.

The variability, heritability and genetic advancement over the mean were performed for 16 selected parameters among the selected Byadgi ecotypes of chilli at Horticultural Research and Extension Station, Devihosur (Haveri). Higher phenotypic coefficient of variation is observed over genotypic coefficient of variation for all the traits studied, indicating the predominance of environment over the genetic parameters. Higher GCV and PCV were observed for Number of fruits per plant, stalk to fruit ratio, plant yield, capsaicin and oleoresin content of fruit. High heritability coupled with high GAM was observed for number of fruits per plant, stalk length, stalk to fruit ratio, plant yield, dry matter content, capsaicin content and oleoresin content. So, these traits imply the potential for crop improve...
