Novel Hovel is a unique idea of sharing your lives with us by posting 'slice of life' photos of your environment, your humble abode, the block where you live, your own backyard, etc. I'm not looking for Martha Stewart perfection or Better Homes and Garden covers, but real life homes, trailers, dives, digs, and other 'novel hovels'. Think of yourself as a hobo poet going from town to town. What would you notice? What would you photograph? You get the idea.
About the chicken: I've had this chicken planter for a long time. It goes with me whenever I change houses. So it's the mascot. Bawk!
