Sort of!
I am still alive and kicking, but LJ got placed on the back-burner. Just for a little while.
Suffice to say that I've had a hectic and distressing last term at school in which I royally screwed up. Now I just need to get on with things.
Thus, I promise to be a little more active from now on!
Oh man! So tempted by 
oc_bigbang.
But, have never written 15,000 words before (long fic never ends well with me). And I don't have any OCs floating around at the moment...

So, a few hours after this time tomorrow I will be off on my big adventure with Miss M, Ellen and Lee to visit New Zealand.
Haven't been there before, but I am terribly excited. We're going with a tour group, visiting both islands and doing lots of fun activities (seriously, we've been going over the list of extra activities, picking out what we're going to do!).
For me, I am scenic flights and helicopter rides all the way. Plus, the heli-hike at Fox Glacier!
Ladies and gents I will be entering

a very pretty country.
(And, I am going to add, I don't jump out of, or off, perfectly good bridges or planes, and I certainly do no traverse potentially dangerous waters.)
Of course, I am a history, museum/gallery, scenic traveller. The simple things make me happy.
I don't know if I'll get another chance to post before I go away for 2.5 weeks, so I thought I'd just mention it now.
I'll have LOTS of photos and stories when I get back.

Setting the scene: So, it's midnight, and I'm in bed trying to sleep when I get slammed with an idea (which, is technically 2 ideas, now, but I'm going to focus on the first). I honestly have no idea where it came from, why it chose now, or, frankly, whether anyone cares. I also know that ALL week I have been trying to write fandom_stocking drabbles and it has been like pulling teeth and then I knock this out in 30mins or less. *sigh*

TO ALL MY LJ/IJ/DW FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS: Copy and Paste if you have enjoyed the blessing of meeting people online that you never would have met any other way. This is my end of the year shout out to the many "friends" I have never been in the same room with but who have inspired, amused, comforted, encouraged, and touched me in so many ways. I love you people! Here's to another year together!!
