Community for prospective students, current students & alumni from the Nottingham Trent University.
ntu is a forum for current, past, and prospective students. If NYU can have one, so can we! Feel free to post questions and information about campus events.
Introduce yourself. You can share where you're dancing, who you're kissing, what you're reading, where you're drinking and what you're doing. You can chat with one another and get to know new people ... and we want to have a big party at your place ohh yeah.

So, what's so great about NTU?
Here are some of our bragging rights:
- Nottingham Trent University arose from the public, coeducational University College opened by Prince Leopold in 1881. All its research areas are rated as internationally or nationally important.
- Rated excellent (grade '5') by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) in over eighty percent of research areas. Faculties are consistently rated excellent in assessments for teaching.
- NTU's library system contains around half a million volumes and holds 3,000 periodicals.
- Famous residents and children of the region include author D. H. Lawrence, poet Lord Byron who wrote the epic satire Don Juan, landscapes artist Richard Parkes Bonnington, John Walters - 19th century proprietor of The Times and M.P. for Nottingham and, of course, the fashion designer Sir Paul Smith CBE - a Nottingham Trent graduate.
- The region provides more sports facilities per head of population than any other European city. Students play a prominent part in national inter-university competitions.
- NTU spans two main campuses, the close by shopping areas - built upon a labryinth of over 400 man-made caves beneath the city - are amongst the top three in the UK. The UK's National Ice Centre and National Watersports Centre are both within easy reach of the campuses. Rolling countryside, lakes and Japanese zen gardens are all within a short drive.
