A community for people who've gone back to college after a hiatus. This is for people who either didn't go to college right after high school or who went before, left, and have returned after taking a few years off in-between.

If you're between the ages of 25 and 125 and find yourself back in school, this is the place for you. Older returning students face a number of issues but also have advantages. Many of us are trying to balance school with a family, a job, or seemingly impossible financial problems. This community exists to help us draw strength from each other as we study along, to offer tales of woe and victory and humor.

Are you older than some of your professors?

Are you the only one in your English 101 class who can actually speak English?

Have you found yourself wondering if your cap and gown will clash with your gray hair?

C'mon in and join the party. There are plenty of us in the same position as you are.

This community is maintained by vyoma, a fellow old fart back in school for the first time in years.
