What's a 'shared urban family'?
For our purposes, it's a group of likeminded individuals, choosing to mingle their lives either romantically or platonically, living together in a city dwelling (house, apartment), loving and supporting eachother, and working together to make a family life.

Is this Polyamory?
Not specifically, no. But polyamorous or open families are welcomed and encouraged to share their related experiences with the community.

Isn't this just glorified roommates?
Yes and no. If not romantically involved, or subsected into couples/relationships within the families, this may seem a fancy way of describing your average roommate. But, this community is dedicated to a different kind of roommate -- Not just a person, or persons with whom you split the bills, but a group of people who geniunely care about eachother, and hope to build a unified life together, on an extended or permanent basis.
