Hi. We're the pagan whores. Stop now if that title offends you. It comes from a story you see, a cute little story about an idiot boy. Stop now it that thought offends you. You see, there was a boy, and he was afraid of all things sexual although he liked to tease his girlfriend mercilessly. This boy was a virgin. In a conversation one night, the much-teased girl and her good friend were discussing "The List." You know, "The List," that everyone keeps of people who need maiming and/or mauling? Right. That's the one. Well, on that list was the teaser and the joke was made that a postcard should be mailed to him propositioning him for sexual favors because he would run screaming. From there, the joke continued. "Beware the pagan whores! No, your virginity cannot save you now!"

And so the mantra "Pagan whore!" was born. There are icons. (Oh, yes!) But who are the pagan whores? What does it really mean?

Well, to me, (and since I'm writing this, I suppose that's important,) it is a woman who is not afraid of herself, of her sexuality, of her strength. It is a woman who is comfortable leaning on her friends when she needs a moment to catch her breath. It is a woman who is there for her friends at every possible opportunity. It also can be the people who support those women, who encourge women to be who they are, no matter what that is!

So often in this life, we go through relationships, good, bad, or ugly, and we always know that our friends will be there for us afterwards with *squishes*, liquor, chocolate, and occassionally, a swift kick in the arse.
