This research used comparative and correlational research methods. Thirty research samples consisted of 13 junior year university students and 17 senior year university students were selected by the purposive sampling method. Every student was monitored for their daily activities for one week and categorized into sports, college, organization, and other activities. Physical fitness was measured using the MFT test to measure the VO2Max in ml/kg/min units. The data analysis results showed no significant difference between junior and senior semester students in VO2Max, physical exercise, organizational activities, lecture activities, sleeping, and other activities. There was a significant difference in VO2Max and physical exercises (sig < 0.05) between genders. Male students spent more time exercising (17.87 ± 11.1) than female students (10.80 ± 6.04). Furthermore, male students had a higher average VO2Max (42.38 ± 7.53) than female students (29.36 ± 6.07). Based on the regression analysis results, there is a significant value between physical exercises and sleeping toward VO2Max capacity (sig. < 0.05).

This study aimed to evaluate the Pétanque organization management and youth athlete development in east java province, Indonesia. The study was conducted in qualitative with an ethnography approach. The research methods were observation and interview. The data were analyzed by using five steps (1) preparing and organizing the data, (2) review and explore the data, (3) developing a data coding system, (4) assigning codes to the data, (5) identifying themes. Eleven Pétanque coaches and four Pétanque committee leaders from four different East Java Province participated in this study as research participants. The findings in this study were organization management and youth athlete development. The Pétanque organization management included planning, organizing, directing, controlling, budgeting, and evaluating. Overall, the organization's management was well managed. However, the challenge in the management, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic, is the limited activity program and funding. Furthermore, the same activity plans were not conducted due to the pandemic. The second finding was youth athlete development. The discussion of the second finding was divided into three parts, including talent identification, coach training methods, and athlete motivation. First, there were promotion and graduation procedures for potential athletes who could join the elite team and represent the city or Province in a national competition. Moreover, the instrument measured talent identification, which consisted of a performance test, game simulation test, and psychological test. In conclusion, Pétanque organization management and youth athlete development in East Java were developed very well.

This study aimed to analyze the elementary school students' basic movement skills (FMS) using the kinematic approach. The fundamental movements in this research were correlated with lower body parts, i.e., one leg standing position with closed eyes (non-locomotor), hopping (locomotor), running (locomotor), and kicking (manipulative). This was comparative research that was conducted in a quantitative approach. The random sampling method selected 126 elementary students (75 male and 51 female) aged 8.96 ± 1.50 years old. The kinematic data were collected by using kinematic video analysis in Kinovea 0.9.4 computer software. The independent variables were one leg standing position in second, distance per step (DPS) in centimeter, speed per step (SPS) in meter per second, step height (SH) in centimeter, kicking speed (KS) in meter per second, and estimated maximum distance (MD) in centimeter. All variables were measured both left and right foot. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and the Mann-Whitney U test to find the significant difference between gender. The results showed only two independent variables were significantly different. In hopping, there was left foot height (α= 0.044) and left foot speed (α= 0.043). In conclusion, elementary school students aged 8.96 ± 1.50 years old have a similar fundamental movement skill.

It was conducted using a research development (R&D) method. The research samples comprised 30 physical education teachers and 252 elementary school students. The data were collected using quantitative and qualitative approaches. The research instruments were interview, questionnaires, rubrics, and authentic assessment. The learning model’s content validity was tested by seven experts, and construct validity was tested using Explanatory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Furthermore, the model’s effectiveness instrument was developed based on a rubric and authentic assessment to assess character development. The validity was tested by three experts, and the reliability was tested with an interclass correlation (ICC) test. Four inter-rater or independent observers were involv...

A total of 104 students were invited to complete the Life Adjustment Questionnaire (LAQ). Several predictors’ (gender, major differences, and study levels) were studied in this survey. The results revealed seven important points, including the validity and reliability of LAQ, the degree of adjustment, adjustment across gender, the correlations among dimensions of adjustment, adjustment across majors, adjustment across study levels, and the interaction among gender, major, and study level together concerning adjustment. The research gives some implications for further research and recommendations for universities related to international students.
