Hmm... the first thing that jumps out to me is her legs... the position of her arms and the weight on her shoulders are good, I definitely like how her face turned out (avian facial expressions take a lot of artistic license to pull off). Her legs seem to be pulling forward too hard. No space for her hips at all. This isn't one of the easiest poses to pull off, so my first suggestion is always try to get someone to sit down in the position for you and try to draw it from life first. Going from this sketch... hmm. Let's see...Both legs need to come forward more, and be a tad thicker. Not much, but they're 'closest' to the viewer, so they'd need to look bigger in proportion to the rest of the body. It'll also let her sit more on her butt and less on her tailbone. ^.^;; Her left foot could be slightly bigger, and maybe come back a bit in angle... instead of being on a 45 degree angle, try more of a 60 degree angle? Errgh, that'd be easier to demonstrate than to tell. Hopefully this helps. If not, I could probably try to find a photo of someone in that pose. Google Image search roxxors. :3 |
