_09:48 pm_[Link]	Writer's Block: Spoilers Below the Cut Spoilers Below the Cut Have you ever ruined the ending or given away plot developments in a book, movie, or tv show by telling someone who hasn't seen or read it what happens? Has anyone ever done this to you? Reply 250 Aside from having Soylent Green, Citizen Cane, and the whole Darth Vader thing ruined for me? (Yay, pop culture references!) I'm not that bothered about spoilers and stuff. Big things, sure, but anything that's in the trailer/on the back blurb doesn't count. I've had a lot of stuff from Buffy spoiled for me, but it's been out so long I'm not really worried about it. I'm terrible about ruining things-partially because I know some people who are so spoiler-phobic that even trailers are evil. I figure vague things like, "that episode of Buffy with the Incan demon" shouldn't count as spoilers, but some people do. And Robert got really annoyed watching Torchwood when Tracey and I joked the tiny knife in "Ghost Machine"-I assure you, knowing that there is a knife in the episode doesn't change anything. And I totally ruined one of the Harry Potter books for somebody. I think I was talking about book 3, after book 5 came out-turned out he'd only read the first one. Oops. Which, of course, I can't. So I hand it back to her, and wander out of the room while she's on the phone. Yeah. Wander out the room, down the hall, and onto the computer. Result: burned blondies. Not that it really matters, because I forgot that you have to stir the heck out of things with fake eggs or they just won't emulsify. So they would have been kind of oily and gummy anyway. Found the analysis, it just doesn't display in your widget.I still like the inkblots from my psych class-one had the class evenly split between "goat head" and "angel", and the other one we described as a butterfly or fish until the professor realized it was "upside-down".In other news, my father has acquired an mp3 player. We got him something simple, because he didn't see the need for all the fancy gizmos, and now I don't think he's happy with it. But at least it doesn't skip in the car like his cd player did.
