Sky News Daily (original) (raw)
- 2 DAYS AGO Can there be a peaceful solution in the Middle East? It's one year on since Hamas's 7 October attack on Israel, which was followed by Israel's mission to eradicate the terror group in Gaza. In short, what followed was a humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Iranian attacks on Israel, and Israel fighting Hezbollah in Lebanon. With the region yet to find a sustainable path away from conflict, on the Sky News Daily, Niall Paterson takes a step back and asks if a peaceful solution can ever be found. Niall is joined by Alistair Bunkall, our Middle East correspondent, and our military analyst Professor Michael Clarke, to discuss if Israel can keep up its fighting against Hezbollah and Hamas, and deal with the rising tensions with Iran, against the backdrop of a continuing crisis in Gaza, with hostages still being held there. - OCT 1 The Tory final four: Could any of them be PM in 2029? Kemi Badenoch, James Cleverly, Robert Jenrick and Tom Tugendhat are contenders to become the next Conservative Party leader. With infighting already playing out among the candidates, and outgoing leader Rishi Sunak calling for party unity, can whoever is successfully chosen last until, and even win, the next general election in 2029? On this episode of the Sky News Daily, Niall Paterson is at the Tory party conference in Birmingham, and with political editor Beth Rigby, they discuss the leadership hopefuls' campaigns, and the mood among members for their chances against Labour. Plus, Niall catches up with Conservative MP Iain Duncan Smith, former Tory MPs Penny Mordaunt, Anne-Marie Trevelyan, former special adviser to Boris Johnson Tim Montgomerie, and Conservative commentator Iain Dale. - Thank you so much for you coverage of Kate’s edited photo. You could have covered the Gaza/Israel conflict, Ukrain, upcoming elections, sewage in UK rivers, the King’s health but you boldly dedicated 23 minutes to a single photo. This ground breaking work has changed my life. Typically a good podcast but this story is just silly.
- When are you going to go after the Tories on taxes like you are going after Labour? Never, I’m thinking. Makes me want to throw up.
- Get news from other sources as they do not present both sides, especially on women’s issues
- you said republicans say they like trump’s policies and so do trump’s cult followers but no one ever mentions specifically what his policies are. i wait and i wait and i wait to hear one just at least one reporter or news presenter to ask, oh, which policies would those be? but no, no one asks that basic question to his bade or other republicsns in office yet it is a very important question. here are trump’s policies: tax cuts for the rich and corporations, deregulate companies safety rules, environmental rules and the like. these do not help any of his base supporters but they are all deplorable morons that couldn’t even read and digest the 40+ page of the trump your going to prison indictment. the dude has been a grifter his entire life. he diesn’t care about the american citizens or thr state of this union. he only snd i mean only cares about donald j. immature trump and how much money he can scheme out of people, out of the top secret docs he stole and so forth. he would sell his dead mother’s body if it would turn a buck for him. he didn’t have any policies that would have helped everyday people. the gop loves a stupid base because they can take advantage of that base for donations and they don’t even realize that they just got slapped across the back of their head. donald could have ran as a democrat because he had always been one but he knew, dems are too wily to be taken advantage of nor would we fall in line to some bonehead. dems are free thinkers. so he chose the moron party to run under.
