The sample of participants included 596 girls aged 11 to 15. The participants were randomly assigned to two groups: 1) an experimental group (n = 314) that performed a functional training (FT) program; 2) a control group (n = 282) that performed regular Physical Education (PE) classes. The experimental program was implemented during regular PE classes over a period of 16 weeks, where 3 training sessions were conducted per week, lasting 45 minutes each. The FitnessGram battery of tests was used to estimate the strength and mobility of trunk muscles at the initial and the final measurement. The following tests were used: Curl up, Incline push-ups, and dynamic and static Trunk lift tests. The results of the two-factor ANOVA showed significant (p < 0.001) improvements in each test for both groups. The magnitude of the effect size ranged from medium to large and differed between the methods in all tests except for abdominal muscle strength. These findings indicate that both training programs are beneficial for developing trunk muscle strength and mobility in primary school girls. Future research should consider investigating differences between the methods in primary school students.

OBJECTIVE: To appraise the concurrent and predictive validity of isokinetic dynamometry and tensiomyography (TMG) in differently trained men and women. METHODS: Fifty men and 45 women were divided into three groups: physically inactive, physically active and athletes. Isokinetic testing was performed on knee muscles in concentric mode at 60 and 180 • s while tensiomyographic measurements were obtained from the rectus and the biceps femoris muscles. RESULTS: A small, statistically significant negative, correlation was detected between the peak moment and tensiomyography parameters relating to contraction time and maximal displacement (Adj. R 2 = 0.086, p = 0.028). CONCLUSION: In general, isokinetic dynamometry and tensiomyography are not related and represent different technologies that measure different contractile properties of muscles. A hierarchical structure of predictive validity at the level of individual variables was detected as a function of gender and training level.

This research was carried out with the aim of comparing results achieved in the shot put at the National Games organized for elementary schoolchildren with hearing impairment in the period from 2005 to 2015, in order to determine the movement of the results and the popularization of sport among this population of schoolchildren. The participants were male and female schoolchildren attending schools for the hearing impaired in the Republic of Serbia, who were diagnosed with hearing loss exceeding 60 dB, aged up to 15. Any deviations in the results between schoolchildren with hearing impairment of both genders from Serbia and the results obtained around the world can be explained by a still insufficient participation both in the shot put and in sports activities in general for the members of this population. It should be pointed out that based on the cited data, hearing impaired children do show interest in the shot put, and it would be desirable to work on their inclusion in competitions with children without hearing loss, for the purpose of improved socialization and the participation of experts of various profiles who could help these children achieve improved health and improved quality of life.

The sample of participants for this research can be defined as the population of water polo swimmers (N=60) aged 16 to 18 years, who were only included in the study under the condition that they had taken part in the water polo training process for a period of at least four years. In order to evaluate their conative regulatory mechanisms, we relied on six primary variables: the activity regulator (EPSILON), the organic function regulator (HI), the defense reaction regulator (ALFA), the attack reaction regulator (SIGMA), the system for the coordination of regulatory functions (DELTA), the system for the integration of regulatory functions (ETA), all of which were selected so that the structure of the analysis could be carried out on the basis of the cybernetic. For the evaluation of the criterion variables, we used two variables. The first variable represents the relationship between the number of times a participant played for his team and the number of achieved victories during these matches, and the second variable represents the evaluation of technical ability on the basis of the participants' performance on certain tests related to water polo. The relations between conative characteristics and success in water polo were determined using a canonical correlation analysis. A correlation analysis was carried out and it indicated a very high correlation between conative characteristics and success in water polo. During the training and competitive process of water polo players, the training components were well balanced, which could mean that they were optimally focused on the development of the relevant motor skills, which correlate with conative characteristics and make up the basis for the training process of water polo players.

Physical Education, as one of the areas of Physical Culture, istherefore a very important educational link. It is particularly important in anera characterized by fast technological advances and technicalism that is rapidly introducing people to virtual reality. Hence, we emphasize that Physical Education, with its knowledge ABOUT and FOR physical exercise, buildsthe basis for a healthy, active and long life in young people. This is possible due to the fact that Physical Education, based on the Theory of Theoanthropocentrism, sees physical exercise as a beneficial body activity necessary for man and stems from the relationship to a man as a person, not an individual. The subject sample consists of elite Serbian national handball teams. The observed variables are selected based on the unique criteria that characterizes the conclusion of the offensive actions, both in situations when there is an equal and unequal number of players on the field. The results confirm that all analysed actions are not equally represented in play of the observed teams and that there are multiple factors that contribute to the final team standing. The data shows that the defining characteristic and the highest offensive efficiency of the best teams was achieved by using counterattacks, which is to be expected given the fast pace of the modern handball.

However, little is known about how levels of physical activity modulates the response to the stress caused by physical training. After a stressful event (physical exercise) level of cortisol rises, where cortisol like other glucocorticoid agents, has widespread effects which helps to restore homeostasis. Physical exercise also increases testosterone levels. Athletes often take androgenic steroids in an attempt to increase their strength. Studies show that men who used testosterone and practiced, have achieved decrease of fat and increase of muscle than in those men who did not use testosterone (Bhasin et al 1996). Although previous studies have shown that trained subjects exhibited significantly lower cortisol levels and heart pressure on the stress provouct by physical exercise, compared with untrained men, this paper shows that even tr...

The aim was to estimate if there are significant differences between athletes from different competition levels. Data processing was conducted using canonical discriminative analysis, and the results showed that statistically significant difference exist between handball players from different competition levels in all systems (multivariate) estimated by cognitive and conative variables. In cognitive area 91.73% of the significant interclass differences between I league handball players and handball players from other two levels of competition were estimated by efficiency parallel area S1 test. In cognitive area, the correlations were 0.58 and 0.31, which is 82.82% and 17.11% of variance. In the I league handball players, from all measured parametres, there were only phatological symptoms which refer to depression, hypersensitivity and paranoia, which could be a consequence of greater engagement of cognitive processes and the fear of not fulfilling the expectations set before them, and the complexity of the task, and whether they will continue to pursue their career with even greater success, which is contrary to the results obtained in athletes of the lower ranking, where the pathological concurrent factors are present to a larger extent, indicating a very high level of their somatic anxiety and a higher loading of defense mechanisms and regulators of organic functions.

The sample consisted of 32 people (16 men and 16 women) with an average age of 24.6 ± 3.3 years. Body composition measurements were performed using bioelectrical impedance (BIA) method using an electric scale, bioimpedance (In Body 720). The MANOVA and t-test results showed that there were no statistically significant differences in body composition between physically inactive persons and students of the Faculty of sport and physical education (F = 0.778; p = 0.595). The obtained results could indicate the shortcomings of the curriculum at the Faculty of sport and physical education, whose contents, intensity and/or volume do not sufficiently stimulate the student body, as well as the failure of students to fulfil extracurricular obligations and their poor health habits.

The aim was to determine statistically significant relations between the systems of variables of motor abilities, cognitive variables and variables of conative characteristics. The data were processed by canonic correlation analysis. Between the system of motor variables and the system of conative variables three canonic correlations were got (R 1 =.56, R 2 =.36, R 3 =.35) which are statistically significant. The results of the research showed that adolescent females achieve better results concerning motor variables of the motion structure, tonus regulation and synergy regulation, intensity and duration of excitation if they have increased values concerning conative variables of the efficiency of the system of regulation and control of defence reaction (ALPHA), efficiency of the system of regulation and control of offence reaction (SIGMA) and efficiency of the system of coordination of regulative functions (DELTA).

QSAR model was developed for a series of 39 dimeric pyridinium compounds. QSAR models were calculated with the representation of the molecular structure by the simplified molecular-input lineentry system. One split into the training and test set have been examined. The statistical quality of the developed model is very good. The calculated model for dimeric pyridinium derivatives had following statistical parameters: r 2 = 0.9477 for the training set and r 2 = 0.9332 the test set. Structural indicators considered as molecular fragments responsible for the increase and decrease in the inhibition activity have been defined. The computer-aided design of new dimeric pyridinium compounds potential acetylcholine esterase inhibitors with the application of defined structural alerts has been presented.

Th e stratified sample included students from six universities, in total 1498 female and male college sport students, with an average age of 20.35±1.76 years (males) and 20.14±1.55 years (females). Both psychological measuring instruments showed very satisfactory psychometric properties. Reliability is particularly high for males for AIMS, while the reliabilities for PSICA are mainly moderate to high and lower than for AIMS. Th e results could be explained in terms of cultural and organizational differences, and provide the information about directions in designing effi...

The sample of participants consisted of 12 nationally and internationally ranked Goalball players, with an average age of (25.17±8.03). To evaluate sprint performance, the 5 and 10 meter sprint tests were used. To evaluate explosive strength, the standing long jump and seated medicine ball throw were used. The results of the regression analysis have indicated that the entire system of applied variables is statistically significantly connected and influences ball throwing velocity. At the same time, we evaluated the statistically significant influence of the seated medicine ball throw variable. We can conclude that as part of the fitness training of Goalball players, it is necessary to work on improving sprint performance and explosive strength due to the ability of rapid transition of the players from the defensive phase to the attack phase. It i...
