Formasi Wungkal – Gamping merupakan formasi batuan sedimen tertua yang tersingkap di P... more Formasi Wungkal – Gamping merupakan formasi batuan sedimen tertua yang tersingkap di Pegunungan Selatan tepatnya di daerah Bayat. Informasi geologi mengenai formasi ini tidak terlalu banyak karena penyebaran singkapannya yang terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui fasies batuan yang dihasilkan dari pengukuran stratigrafi pada jalur penelitian terutama pada singkapan baru sebagai hasil penggalian lahan di Dusun Gunung Gajah. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengukuran stratigrafi dengan metode tongkat jacob untuk merekam karakteristik fasies meliputi geometri, litologi, struktur sedimen dan fosil di daerah penelitian. Hasilnya digambarkan dalam kolom litologi dengan skala 1:10 berdasarkan pembagian fasies batuan, sampel batuan petrografi dan paleontologi untuk menentukan lingkungan, umur, mekanisme dan dinamika sedimentasi daerah penelitian. B-Field is located in Northwest Java and holds potential hydrocarbon in its low-quality marine sa... more B-Field is located in Northwest Java and holds potential hydrocarbon in its low-quality marine sandstone reservoir, BR-34A and BR-34B zones. Each zone has a permeability range between 5 and 12 mD and can only produce approximately 20 to 50 BFPD without stimulation, making the well a non-economic producer. In 2020, two infill development wells, A-08 and K-08, were drilled targeting these zones. Both wells were planned to be completed with hydraulic fracturing stimulation to boost the production. The first well, A-08 was completed earlier than K-08, but the production result from the well was unsatisfactory. The pressure evaluation analysis indicated high near-wellbore pressure of more than 1,000 psi. There were no reliable mechanical properties data in the well, which led to a conservative final hydraulic fracture design to avoid fracture growth into the nearby watered-out zone, BR-35. The Brani-Field is located offshore Northwest Java and currently produces hydrocarbons from a san... more The Brani-Field is located offshore Northwest Java and currently produces hydrocarbons from a sandstone reservoir with an average watercut of 83%. Some high watercut wells are prone to scale problems and need repetitive clean outs to overcome production decline. In 2019, downhole scale inhibitor treatment was evaluated and planned for application in these wells. Scale inhibitors are able to prevent the formation of scale so the well is able to deliver higher average oil production with lower intervention cost. In Brani wells, scale deposits are formed in perforations, downhole completion equipment, and flowlines depending on the water composition, temperature, and a reduction in dissolved carbon dioxide partial pressure. These scales deposits restrict the fluid flow causing significant production loss.
