Welcome to Quirky HP Shorts, a community devoted to the unusual, the offbeat, and the odd. This is a home for quirky writing exercises in the HP community.
Each week I hope to provide a Quirky Challenge or two, and feel free to join in the fun. Drabbles, short fic, poetry---it's all welcome. I'd love it if everybody stayed under the 2,000 word mark, but it's okay if it exceeds it.
Please follow these guidelines when posting new work:
Subject line: should reference the Challenge you are responding to, or the title of the work.
Character: List the character(s)/pairing(s) involved in the piece. If you have a surprise character you can use a question mark (?).
Rating: You must provide a rating. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please use G, PG, PG-13, R, and NC-17.
Warning: Some readers do not like to read certain subjects; please respect their wishes and label your work with the appropriate warning(s).
Het, Slash, or Gen: "Het" is for works containing male/female romantic relationships. "Slash" is for works containing same-sex romantic relationships. "Gen" is for works not containing romantic relationships. Bonus points if your fic includes the Giant Squid.
Description: A short description will help people decide whether to read your work or not.

Please put your work behind a cut-tag. I realize that this is time-consuming and may seem silly, especially for a drabble, but all work needs to be cut for ratings issues.
