This livejournal community is dedicated to those who understand what life on the Oregon Coast means, sure it is scenic, but it holds its own set of unique challenges. The community name is taken from Michael Burgess's book "Uncle Mike's Guide to the Real Oregon Coast" availble on amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0965763811/qid=1105487459/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl14/104-2779617-5327166?v=glance&s=books&n=507846 , a fabulous read full of wit and banter:)
Please feel free to share your thoughts about the Oregon Coast culture, weather, events, political issues facing small coastal communities, the development of community, hiking, surfing, bike riding, employment, seasonal affective disorder, or anything that seems revelant and interesting to share. Post pictures, i love pictures, behind a cut please. Feel free to introduce yourself and share what your experience is living on the Oregon Coast.
Please keep it fairly tame in the language department, while I fully support freedom of expression, kiddies might read this stuff so lets keep it pg13, thanks:)
