regency - Profile (original) (raw)

on 11 November 2004 (#5110687)

This is a community for the appreciation of all aspects of the Regency Era. For the purposes of this community, the Regency Period marks the transition from the ancient regime of Georgian England to the Victorian Era, covering the years after the French Revolution in 1789 to the death of King George IV in 1830.

This is also a community for us lovers of modern day Regency fashion and reenactement, and those of us who use a darker Regency fashion in our every day lives- feel free to post info about your modern day dark Regency influences, fashions, etc.

Because there may be occasional Regency erotica, please do not join if you find these things offensive or are under eighteen years of age.

There are some guidelines:

1. Post announcements of new communities only if the community is related to the Regency Era, and give a little info with the post.

Unrelated announcements of new communties will be deleted without warning. What is or is not related will be decided at the discretion of the community owner.

Most of all, do not join this community just to post a promo and then leave. No drive by spamming. Such promos will be deleted.

2. Please do not post quiz/survey results.

3. If you post photographs, please post only the first one, providing it isn't too big to mess up the format of the page, and place the rest behind a cut tag. This is a courtesy for those members whose connections are slower. Please put any nudity behind a cut tag for the sake of our readers who may be perusing the community from an office or where wee little eyes might see.

4. Absolutely no disrespect. No racism, no sexism, no isms basically. No racial or ethnic slurs, no hate.

5. In regard to erotica- nothing hardcore, nothing graphic, and nothing that could be considered rated X. You can post a link to those types of images with a warning, if you feel they are of particular value, but please keep community images 'tasteful'. Again, put any nudity behind a cut tag for the sake of our readers who may be perusing the community from an office or where wee little eyes might see.
