Who says you can't choose your own family??????

Welcome to the home of the Rose Mansion in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia! - A female only group that can share dreams, forge friendships and bonds that tie us all together.

The Rose Mansion meet on a monthly basis somewhere pre determined within the Melbourne area and are there to support each other in anyway we can.

The Rose Mansion is a group of women from Year 7 age through to Adult age (our oldest is in her thirties) :) who have formed to make friendships, support each other and guide each other through both good and bad times alike.

How it works
'Families' are created using the names of Roses, in which are the basis of the idea and they come together to support each other.

It starts with someone who is 18 (or in year 12) who starts a 'Rose Family'.
She will take on a girl as her 'sister' to guide and be friends with. This will be called her 'bouton'.

The 'bouton' will then, once she has turned 15, be able to take on a younger sister of her own called a 'petite soeur'.

Once the petite soeur has turned 15, she will be able to take her own younger sister called 'Frere ou soeur.'....see where it's heading?

The Guidelines
♥ You must be Female to join this community (sorry gentlemen)

♥ You must be in Year 7 or age 13 to join the Rose Mansion

♥ To start a family within the Rose Mansion you must be in Year 12, or be 18 years old. (to join a family you must be in year 7 or older)

♥ You may research and choose any rose name you wish, including new-found roses. However note that such names such as 'candycane rose', 'fanny rose' etc will not be approved. This is a mature corporation and names should be choosen seriously. (Your rose name must be a 'real' rose.)

♥ When you ask someone to become your soeur and they accept you will need to get them an ID bracelet and engrave Rosa (your rose name) on the front, and their position in the family on the back. (Ie: en bouton, petite soeur etc)

♥ Before you ask another to be your soeur, it is expected that you introduce this person to your Oneesama (Head rose of the family). (Not for approval persay, but for guidance and to make sure they get along)

Applications

Create A Rose Family. (you must be 18 or in Year 12)
Complete the following in a new post on the community titled [Family Application]

I (insert username) wish to start my own Rose family under the name of Rosa[insert Rose name]. I will be held responsible for my family.
I promise to uphold our integrity, act as a role model for my soeur, and help and guide her wherever necessary.

I will consider any member of this community who wishes to become my soeur – however the choice to accept or not accept any applicant as my soeur is mine, and mine alone.

Once you've put in your application, get to know the other users who have also applied! You can email them, add them to your journal and comment on each others posts, anything really! There is no rush, so before deciding on soeur please make sure you are sure on your choice.

Important Information

At this point in time, four members per family are allowed.... Rosa, en bouton, petite soeur and frère ou soeur

The Petite Soeur herself must be 15 years of age before she can take on a frere ou soeur.

Taking a best friend or family member as your soeur is generally frowned upon. Should you wish to do this, you will need to apply through the Head Roses to make a decision on the matter.

The Rose Mansion will meet once a month for a social activity. You are expected to attend.
(exceptions are made of course for exams, study, tests, illness, family priorities etc)

Terminology:

When addressing a head rose or head of family you refer to them as Rosa ______(rose name) Ie: Rosa Leilani.

When addressing the person who took you on as a soeur, you call them Oneesama. (Prounounced On-ay-sa-ma - which means sister)

When addressing others in the community (your own age) you can refer to them using their real names, OR their family name (such as Rosa Nakita en bouton if you do not know them very well)

'Chan' is a friendly term that you might add after the persons name if you know them well, such as Lia-Chan.

Rosa Chanelle jinshei 26 years old.
Rosa Chanelle is a total girl! You’ll find her more often than not wearing pink. She has a fetish for butterflies, strange looking jewellery and anything cute. Her favourite seasons are Autumn and Spring and her passions are drawing, cooking, reading and writing. She likes people with manners, and attempts *cough* to be ladylike where she can be. She is passionate about truth and loyalty and will protect and defend you to the death. She has a sharp tongue towards people who are unfair or cruel and isn’t afraid to say it. A lovely girl that you will surely make friends with soon. She was voted as Noriko on marimite_rating .

Rosa Nakita is a tomboy through and through! Her personality is addictive and you’ll often find her dancing around in a rouse of hyperactivity. Her favourite seasons are Spring and Autumn. She’s very strong minded about honesty and loyalty and is open when it comes to supporting others. She likes people who are fun, outgoing and bubbly. She is fiercely protective of her loved ones, and you’ll make fast friends!

Rosa Leilani bellyra 29 years old.
Rosa Leilani is a girl at heart and is always happy. I've never seen her dress up without wearing glitter! She loves anime, photoshop, sewing, dressing up, and calls her home 'Planet Irk'. She likes people that are fun to be around, yet also have a serious side to them. Her favourite Season is Autumn , and her passion is music. She plays in her own band and is often at gigs. She easily gets excited, is always insane, and describes herself as girlie and very much a princess!!!
