The mission is blessed to have support from three dedicated religious orders, each rooted in a rich tradition of service and community. These orders help uphold the mission’s values of faith, education, and outreach while fostering the spirit of St. Francis and St. Dominic.

Franciscan Friars (OFM) of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Province, USA

The Order of Friars Minor (O.F.M.), a community that traces its roots to St. Francis of Assisi and emphasizes humility, compassion, comtemplation, and service to the marginalized.

On October 16, 2023 the Franciscan Province of Our Lady of Guadalupe in the USA was established. Which united six different Franciscan Provinces and the pastoral care of San Xavier Mission.

Guided by their mission of promoting justice, peace, and care for creation, the friars bring a joyful dedication to their work at Mission San Xavier.

Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity (F.S.C.C.)

The Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity support the mission through their work in education and parish life.

Embracing the Franciscan tradition, they devote themselves to living out their faith in a variety of ministries, including Catholic healthcare, teaching, and parish support.

Guided by the values of simplicity, humility, and compassion, the sisters are committed to building faith-filled communities in rural and urban settings alike.

Dominican Sisters of Peace (O.P.)

The Dominican Sisters of Peace, inspired by the life and teachings of St. Dominic, focus on prayer, study, and service.

Known for their commitment to education and advocacy for peace, the sisters work to empower individuals and foster a deeper understanding of faith.

The Dominican Sisters of Peace continue to support the mission’s values through religious education and community involvement.

These religious orders play a vital role in the life of the mission, each bringing unique charisms and a shared commitment to service.

We have people from all over the country, and the world, wanting to have their special event here at the Mission, and sometimes that can be accommodated, but the policy of the Mission is to only do Marriages, Baptisms, and so forth for the local community.
