Seldom End

Welcome to Seldom End. This is a fanfiction community for rare/obscure/less popular young adult (YA) fantasy and science fiction (sci-fi) literature series/books. All YA fantasy/sci-fi fanfiction are welcome. This includes stories already posted in other communities, including themed communities.

Rules
1 ) Only fanfiction from young adult fantasy or science fiction literature fandoms are allowed. Fanfiction from young adult series like The Princess Diaries, Sweet Valley High or the Hardy Boys are not suitable for this community. Fanfiction from anime or manga series are also not to be posted here, unless their source material is from a YA lit fantasy/sci-fi series e.g. Juuni Kokki.

Note: The definition of young adult fantasy is very contentious. As a general rule, young adult fantasy are books published for an audience aged 14 and below and that which incorporates elements of fantasy. This definition therefore also includes fantasy literature written for children e.g. The Chronicles of Narnia and the Time Quartet.

2 ) This community aims to encourage fanfiction for the less popular series/authors.
Harry Potter fanfiction will not be featured in this community because the HP fandom is already large, extensive and self-supporting. The only exception to this rule would be crossovers. Please refer to the admin post concerning crossovers for further information.

This is subject to change and other fandoms may be excluded in the future depending on feedback from members and other developments e.g. movie adaptations leading to a burgeoning fandom. The ultimate aim of Seldom End is variety and exposure for lesser-known fandoms.

3 ) Genre of fanfiction is an open choice. Please ensure that your stories are checked for spelling and grammatical errors. Fan art contributions are also welcome.

4 ) Ratings may range from G to NC-17 but please ensure that your stories are labeled corectly. The stories can be posted directly to the community under an LJ-cut or linked to the author's personal fic journal. The format for posting is as below:

Subject header: [ Series ] Title

In the post itself:
Title: Series: Character(s)/Pairing: Rating: Notes (if any):

The FAQ thread is located here if you have further questions. The stories are archived in the Memories according to series and author.
