Author of Invisible Life, Just As I Am, And this Too Shall Pass, If This World Were Mine and _Abide By Me_>gay author E. Lynn Harris will be speaking at Wayne State University in Detroit. He will be speaking about live as gay man while being a minority.Over the past three years, Harris has been featured on Out Magazine's "Out 100" list and New York Magazine's "Gay Power 101." He also has been named to Ebony's "Most Intriguing Blacks" list and Savoy's "100 Leaders and Heroes in Black America." A popular college lecturer, Harris has spoken at the University of Arkansas, Harvard University, Hampton University, Spelman College, Morehouse College, Florida A&M, Ohio State, George Washington University, University of Georgia, University of Illinois, University of Tennessee, Stanford University, College of William and Mary, Virginia Tech, Tufts, Tennessee State University, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Florida, Louisiana State, University of South Carolina, and South Carolina State.The event will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1 in the General Lectures Hall on the main campus of Wayne State University.
