_12:25 pm_[mookiemom]	Matthews Promotes Russert to Master 9/11 Gatekeeper! On Monday, Chris Matthews continued his ongoing canonization of Tim Russert. Early in the evening’s [i]Hardball[/i] show, Matthews repeated a segment of his original tribute to Russert’s career. By doing so, he either shamelessly established Russert as a leading 9/11 gate keeper or a blithering idiot. I strongly suspect the former.Of all the endless possibilities, Matthews chose to memorialize Russert for some uncanny and privileged insight into the truth about what happened on September 11th. He wanted us all to know that_“[Tim Russert] knew on that horrid morning of September 11th that the hijackers had grabbed the transcontinental flights because they’d have enough fuel to melt the girders of the World Trade towers.”_Wow, just like that, on the morning of 911, Tim Russert KNEW the motivations of a whole group of incinerated hijackers. That’s really fantastic. He also KNEW the planes had enough fuel to melt the girders of the World Trade towers. He just KNEW the temperature of burning jet fuel, and he KNEW the melting temperature of steel. Tim Russert was not only a mind reader of the dead, but an undeclared expert in aviation practices and thermal physics. _8:51 pm_[mookiemom]	Bill Maher, Gatekeeper or Coward? Bill Maher lost his job first time around for a remark about the alleged hijackers of 9/11. I suppose he's been warned that any discussion of 9/11 that does not follow the Bush/PNAC line will mean the end of his career. It seems that Bill Maher, like so many others, has his price.'Maher is a comedian who hosts a weekly discussion about relevant current political topics. He has no qualms about broaching very controversial topics and is an equal opportunity host on any issue OTHER THAN 9/11. On that topic, he has unequivocally labeled as fools all who raise questions about the official story. Maher's histrionics last night... having to show his macho skill at running into the audience to personally oust the 9/11 truth-seeking protester was one for the record books. It seems that he will talk to anyone, no matter how extreme or controversial, from Ann Coulter on, but the one taboo topic for the Bill Maher show remains 9/11. Maher went so far as to say that on this single topic, of all the controversies of this administration... on this ONE topic, he agrees with George Bush. Those were his words last night.You have to wonder why he would totally close the door to any possible discussion of the one event that made all the other horrors possible. Duh....There were a number of scenarios he might have followed to deal with the protester. For starters, he could have offered to invite someone of repute to come on the show and present their case at a later date. That would have quieted the protester as well as others in the audience who were angered by Maher's dismissal of anyone and everyone who dared to doubt the official lies offered by Bushco. His ridicule of the 9/11 Truth Movement is way out of character for someone so willing to call all the other Bush lies what they are....and you have to wonder who got to him and whose back he's covering.One can only conclude that Bill Maher is either a coward, sacrificing principle to protect his job, or a Gatekeeper of the first order, working to keep any open discussion of 9/11 from ever reaching the public.This is not about what Maher believes or does not believe about 9/11. It’s not about the long list of anomalies and discrepancies in the official story of 9/11. It’s not even about the undeniable fact that the events of 9/11 gave George Bush and his handlers the keys to the neocon kingdom of empire. It really is not.What it’s about is the strangest phenomenon I can recall in my entire adult life. It’s about what I perceive to be an extraordinary lapse in the logic of millions of otherwise sensible Americans. And it’s about something I cannot wrap my mind around, no matter how I try. Maybe someone out there can help me understand what’s going on.In preface, let me also say that this is not about being uninformed. Granted, the corporate media have suppressed any discussion, debate or investigative reporting about the attacks on the United States that purportedly ‘changed everything.’ That reality aside, even the most fawn-like pundits on the airwaves understand that the ship of state is sinking, and that it is time to challenge the lies of this administration. But, it seems that lie after lie has become fair game for disclosure, or at least for some discussion at this point. As a result, each day, the American people in larger and larger numbers understand that they have been taken for a terrible and costly ride by the lies they were told by this President and his cohorts. _11:27 pm_[2049live]	Greetings. Just wanted to say hi. 9/11 was a day that truly affected me and rocked my beliefs to the core. I won't explain how right now, but that event (even though I don't know one single person who perished in the attacks) was truly a pivotal moment for me.I make a post or two about the attacks (mostly about the WTC) now and again, so if I have the inclination, I'll cross-post them here as well.---Also, I'd like to see what LJ members have to say about the current rebuilding efforts at the WTC site. Do you think the plans are going well? Do you think something should be different? Whatever it is, I'd like to hear from you. Stop by wtcrebuild and let us know what you think. We're just starting out, so the community may look meager at first, but I hope it will grow soon enough.Oh- and as you can tell by my icon, I have supported the rebuilding of the Twin Towers for a very long time, but even if you disagree (especially if you disagree, even) I'd like to know your rationale for it. Why Not Fly Out of LaGuardia?Here is a new, and so far unasked question about the badly debunked official explanation of the events of September 11th 2001. If you spend years planning a spectacular attack the World Trade Center in New York City, and you are a less than adequate pilot, and you wanted to ensure the attack would be completed without giving the U.S. air defense apparatus the chance to follow their normal procedures and intercept your plane, why would you choose to fly out of Boston? Why would you choose to risk getting lost or stopped as you try to fly 190 miles to your target when you can hijack a plane from one of three airports within sight of the target?There are three airports that would enable a pilot or a hijacker to have visual contact with the World Trade Center within a minute or two of takeoff. With all the planning these so called hijackers must have made, how stupid would they have to have been to travel to Boston in order to attack NY? We have been told that the so-called hijackers were barely able to pilot even simple two seater aircraft, but we are supposed to believe that they felt confident enough to navigate to NY from Boston without the help of ground control. Are we to believe that i they would not have flown out an airport from which they had constant visual contact with their target? Also keep in mind that planes taking off from these NY area airports would have more fuel remaining in their tanks when they made contact. [b]The 9/11 Pentagon Attack: Planes Simply Do Not Vaporize - Why Didn’t They Show Us the Wreckage?[/b]As each day passes, more and more Americans are becoming aware of the startling evidence that clearly contradicts the official explanation of Sept.11th, 2001 offered by the Bush administration. In fact, as more and more evidence comes to light, incongruities in the official explanation become increasingly and undeniably apparent.Ironically, the growing number of people new to these unexplained discrepancies poses a new problem for those of us who have been researching 9/11 for many months or years. We will have to find a way to explain the many complexities related to the attacks to those who now doubt the official version of events. We are faced with the overwhelming task helping great numbers of people understand the many contradictions in the 9/11 story they were fed by their government.Obviously, that is not an easy assignment, even when the great majority of truth seekers agree that the official explanation is little more than a pre-written cover story designed to herd the American public into supporting an agenda that would otherwise horrify and outrage them. However, it becomes far more complicated in light of a topic that causes a great deal of confusion within the research community itself. That disparity relates to the strike on the Pentagon.Many questions still remain about what actually took place at the Pentagon on September 11th 2001. That’s fine, because the goal of the 9/11 truth community is to raise these questions for further investigation. The problem arises when researchers feel that it is their responsibility to explain what happened at the Pentagon. It is NOT. Rather, it is their charge to highlight the doubts that have been legitimately raised regarding what exactly hit that building.Some researchers claim that a 110,000 ton Boeing 757 hit the building, leaving only a 16 foot hole in the facade (prior to its collapse some 22 minutes after the initial impact.) Others claim that an A-3 Skywarrior fighter jet was the actual aircraft. Some say it was an unmanned Global Hawk armed with depleted uranium missiles, and still others claim that the Pentagon was hit by another type of military missile. We can argue each of these theories forever, and accomplish absolutely nothing.We really have to put and end the internal dispute that is getting us nowhere and work together to bring information rather than more uncertainty to the public that is now just entering the 9/11 discussion. To that end, I am posing ONE pertinent question about the strike on the Pentagon: Why didn’t they show us the wreckage?Planes do not simply vaporize. Never in the history of aviation disasters has an aircraft ever totally disintegrated. Even exploding space shuttles did not vanish into thin air. Therefore, it stands to reason that whatever hit the Pentagon had to leave some recoverable debris in its wake. What can we do? Geez..........I cried after watching it again. How could our country do this to our people? Are they Nazis? The ends justify the means? This is facism. I can't get my head around this. I am a conservative, pro-war, Republican...........not anymore. I am just stunned. Never in my lifetime, I am 51, would I have considered our government capable of carrying out this subversion and MURDER to our own people. The shame is unbearable. Thank you for lifting the veil and opening my eyes. I am forever changed by this video. My innocence has been lost and I consider myself an informed individual. For more than four years, scores of credible experts have challenged the explanations offered by the Bush administration, and yet not a shred of evidence has been offered by the US government to support the official version of events they claim took place on that day.Even more absurd is that fact that not a single official inquiry has attempted to respond to, discredit, or refute the questions that have been raised. You don’t even think it is worth your time to examine the overwhelming physical evidence that is available for your viewing, which at the very least disproves the official “conspiracy theory” put forth by the government and their mouthpieces in the corporate media?Let me ask you folks some questions. Help me out here. If I am to ignore all the physical evidence that indicates government complicity I need you to explain to me why I should ignore the unprecedented actions by the Bush administration preceding the events, that seem to have no other purpose other than to prevent an event like 9/11 from being stopped and to prepare to set in motion their pre-planned agenda that would only be accepted after an event like 9/11.QUESTIONS: 1. We Could Never Imagine Planes Used to Attack Us - We have been told that the US was not only unprepared for defending our nation against planes used as weapons but we were told by our National Security Advisor, Condoleezza Rice that we never imagined such a thing. QUESTION: Why do you believe that the US was not prepared to prevent such an event when we had held drills for just such an event in the past? REFERENCE: USA Today - NORAD had drills of jets as weapons QUESTION: Why do you believe that we had no idea anyone would fly a plane into the WTC when and FBI agent warned of the very thing only to have his warnings dismissed? REFERENCE: F.B.I. Agent Cited Trade Center Attack Ahead of Sept. 11 2. There is a great deal of information indicating the fact that one of the first directives of the Bush administration upon taking office was to have the intelligence community back off of all investigations into Osama Bin Laden and his family. QUESTION: Why was the Bush administration protecting Bin Laden? Why do you ignore the close ties between the Bush family and the Bin Laden family? REFERENCE: The Bush/Bin Laden Connection. 3. Are you aware that Dov S. Zakheim, a former vice president of System Planning Corp., a defense contractor which makes remote control and flight termination products, was sworn in as the Under Secretary of Defense? Question: Did you know that remote controlled flight was possible and that someone who was very involved with this technology was a member of the Bush administration? REFERENCE: Command Transmitter System - The Mastermind Behind 911? 4. During June 2001 the US was planning military action against Afghanistan. QUESTION: Why was the US planning on military action against Afghanistan before the events of 9/11 took place? Why would Congress permit this? 9/11 was the official reason for the military action against Afghanistan. REFERENCE: India and Iran will "facilitate" US and Russian plans for "limited military action" against the Taliban - US 'planned attack on Taleban' BBC QUESTION: Doesn’t common sense suggest to you that it might just be possible that the administration was in search of a legal and publicly acceptable excuse to attack Afghanistan and install a US friendly government with a former UNOCAL Oil company consultant, with ties to the Bush family business, as it’s new leader? REFERENCE: Agreement On US 3.2 Billion Gas Pipeline Project Signed 5. Attorney General John Ashcroft stops flying commercial aircrafts three months before 9/11 due to threats. QUESTION: Why did he stop flying commercial aircrafts? What did he know? REFERENCE: Ashcroft has been advised to travel only by private jet for the remainder of his term. 6. All of a sudden. prior to 9/11/2001, the procedures for military response to hijacked aircrafts were changed where military response had to be approved by Donald Rumseld. Donald Rumsfled is a member of the PNAC organization that publicly professed that a “New Pearl Harbor” would benefit their agenda. QUESTION: Why were procedures specifically involving hijackings changed? Were the old procedures problematic? Why was a person who could benefit from an event like a hijacking given the responsibility of handling them? If this isn't okay to post here, feel free to remove it.1) If you've been a tourist to Ground Zero since the attacks, why? To pay your respects? To make a connection with your country? With the victims?2) What do you think of tourism to sites such as Ground Zero? 3) Would you object to a gift shop being built there? Even if the proceeds were to go to the victims and their families? Would you believe that they would?4) If you were a victim of 9/11, how would/do you feel about tourism to that site?My apologies if these questions seem jaded. Those who feel that the Bush administration, at the very least, had the opportunity to stop the attacks, and at the very most, orchestrated them. and2. Those who abjectly refuse to objectively examine or listen to evidence that indicates complicity by the Bush administration. Worth a read - no matter which group you're in.
