The SHIFT Revolution (inspired by Scott Westerfield's novel
) is a community created to promote the use of the SHIFT-key. The SHIFT-key is an approximately 4.9 x 2.5 cm key found on the lower left and right of your keyboard. The SHIFT-key is used to make CAPITAL LETTERS, allowing you to creating eye-turning effects such as this: RoTfLmAo. It also allows you to use handy symbols like these: <>?:"{}+_)(*&^%$#@!~|
The SHIFT Revolution was created to teach, not to criticize, censure, denounce, condemn, attack, lambaste, pillory, arraign, disparage, denigrate, roast, scold, rebuke, admonish, chide, castigate, reprimand, or reproach you. Our only goal is to improve the grammar of the world. Quite the job yes, but we're eager. We will provide lessons, grammatical help for essays, and anything else we can. We encourage every member of the community to do the same. Help out your fellow man.
Even though we are your mods, we are not perfect, a sad but true fact. On the off-chance that we do make a mistake there are reasons why: a) typos and fingerslips; b) exhaustion due to lack of sleep. If we make a mistake, feel free to tell us what is wrong and we will learn from out mistake.
The Rules:
1. Be kind. If any person makes a post with any error, feel free to correct them. But DO NOT put them down in any way. If we see this occur twice, you will be deleted.
2. If you post an entry with a SHIFT-key, etc then please explain to us what, exactly, the error is. This is a learning community so teach us what is wrong.
3. If your entry is particularly long, please put it behind a lj-cut and try not to kill your fellow members' friends pages.
These rules are subject to change at the mods' whim.
If you have any questions/comments/complaints/inquiries please do not hesitate to contact the mods, oddlittlebunny and mulspar.
Enjoy.
Long live the SHIFT Revolution.
