Welcome to silver_stills , an icon challenge community dedicated to the stars/movies of the silver screen from the beginning of cinema to the end of the 1960's.

This community was founded by spikesbint March 2007.

01. No animated icons; text and other effects may be used. (unless specified otherwise)
02. You can only use the pictures that are provided for you in the challenge entries unless otherwise specified.
03. All entries are to remain anonymous until the end of voting. This means that you are not to use/post the icon you've submitted to the challenge until winners are announced.
04. All icons must fit LJ standards (under 40kb; 100x100; GIF, JPG and PNG format)
05. Do not vote for yourself or ask your friends to vote for you.
06. Each user may submit the number of icons specified within each challenge.

For each challenge, there will be a special entry for you to submit your icons. Comment to this entry with the icon and the icon's image url. ALL COMMENTS WILL BE SCREENED.
Please upload your icons to a host that allows direct linking (like photobucket.com). No uploading to servers such as geocities, etc that do not allow direct linking.
YOU MUST BE A MEMBER TO SUBMIT ENTRIES

Please submit icons in the following format:

Banner = yes/no (whether you wish a banner if you place)
[ICON]
* INSERT ICON URL *

01. All icon submissions are due by FRIDAY night at MIDNIGHT EST (EASTERN STANDARD TIME, that's VERY important, please remember this)
02. The submitted icons will be posted Early Saturday and will be available for voting until late Sunday evening.
03. The winners will be posted Monday morning.
04. A new challenge will be posted soon after the voting goes up.
