Welcome to sortingitout. We are a fairly new but still active Hogwarts sorting community. The premise is quite simple. Fill out the application and submit it to this community. It will then be reviewed and approved by one of the moderators. Members of the community will say which house they think you'd fit in the best with based on your application. You will then be sorted (after five through ten days, usually) and gain access to the Great Hall and your common room. In your common room, you will be able to meet and converse with members of your own house. The Great Hall will be used for discussions, conversations, contests, events, and other things along those lines. Within the Great Hall, you will gain points for your house.Remember to give us notice if you plan on going on a hiatus. Every so often, we remove inactive members. We do not want to mistake a hiatus for inactivity.Slytherin Head:lirimaereaRavenclaw Head:wiseravenclawHufflepuff Head:brizybdarlingGryffindor Head:electrostressSlytherin Prefect:ascarereaRavenclaw Prefect:butterfly_no42Hufflepuff Prefect:yeahbitchtakeitGryffindor Prefect: To be determined.Current TermWinter 2007: March 1 - May 31Gryffindor: 5Slytherin: 70Ravenclaw: 5Hufflepuff: 45 RULES Rules for Applying1. Fill out the application found below.2. Elaborate on your answers. No, this does not mean that you have to write thirteen paragraphs for each question. We aren't one of those communities. However, you must write more than one or two sentences per question in order for the members of this community to sort you. Do not just state your answer, but tell us why.3. Do not push for a certain house.4. Be at least thirteen years old. This isn't a rule to be ageist. We only include it because, according to law, you have to be thirteen to use LiveJournal.5. If you get stamped as a Muggle, you may or may not reapply. The moderators of this community will decide depending on what you were Muggled for.6. Do not apply if you don't plan on being active in the communities. If you have to take a hiatus, be sure to tell us that you are doing so.7. Be literate. Type using proper grammar and spelling. Applicants may be Muggled if they have excessively poor typing skills. If English is not your first language, please tell us so you won't be Muggled because of that.8. Remember to put your application behind an LJ cut.9. Include the word horcrux in the subject of your post so we can make sure you've read the rules.Rules for Voting1. You may only vote once you have been sorted. The moderators will determine when you have enough votes. Keep in mind that the number of required votes will increase when we get more members.2. Keep all ageism out. Remember that you do not have to be over twenty to appreciate the series.3. While we are on that subject, keep all drama out.4. Do not accuse someone of pushing for a house unless it is extremely obvious that they are doing so. Keep in mind that some people just have the canon characteristics of a house. It does not necessarily mean they are pushing.5. Only use the muggle vote sparingly. Do not muggle someone just because you do not like them on a personal level.6. When you vote, be sure to include your name and your house at the end of your message.Rules for the Community1. Make the subject of your comment the house you are sorting the applicant into.2. If you include your name and house at the end of your vote, you will gain five points for your house.3. If you refer a new member who is successfully sorted and is not you on a different account, you will earn ten points for your house.4. There will be discussions, events, and contests in the Great Hall. Participation in some of them will earn you house points.5. If you do something for the community, you may earn some house points as well.6. Creating unnecessary drama, breaking community rules, and insulting other houses will result in points being taken away from your house.7. If you are a member of the community, do not reply to contest entries or sortings by other members unless you have something valid to bring up. You can't do it just for the sake of spamming.8. You may post advertisements for communities in the Great Hall unless it is a sorting community or anything of that nature. Do not abuse this, though. If every other post becomes advertisements, this rule will change.9. The house with the most house points at the end of the term wins the House Cup. 10. Signature graphics can be no larger than 300 pixels tall and 400 pixels wide. APPLICATION Name:Age:Gender:Referred By (if applies):1. What is/was your favorite subject in school and why?2.
