This is an area for the members and maintainers of the community sextips to get together and discuss the operation of the community.

Sexual questions and tips should still be posted to sextips. Posts containing sexual questions and/or tips will be deleted.

This is an "ask us anything"-type community, but since all discussions are public, be prepared for the answers.

We expect the most common reason that folks will post here will be along the lines of "Why was my post/comment deleted?" or "Why was I banned?"

We will answer these questions in detail, including possibly reposting examples of offending passages for all to see and discuss.

However, please note while it's an "ask us anything" forum, it is not an "act any way you want" area. Act like anything other than a civilized human being here and you'll be banned from both st_discussion AND sextips. In addition, the same rules of sextips apply here as well. Specifically:

• The topic here is sextips. Please stay on topic.
• No advertising. Whether it's blatant spam or a classified ad, whether it's free or not, take it elsewhere.
• Don't bring drama. Discussion is good, and disagreement is fine. Trolls and flaming will not be tolerated.
• Don't make: derogatory comments, abusive comments either pointed at someone specific or made in general -- this refers to being mean, racist, sexist, ageist, or picking on people because of religion, weight or anything else (this abuse will not be tolerated).
• It is not our place to judge anyone else's sexual choices. Any posts or comments along the lines of "if you _______, you shouldn't be having sex" will result in being removed from the community.
• This isn't a pickup joint; no come-ons or cruising.
• If you want to introduce yourself to the community, please do it in the context of an on-topic post.
• Turning comments off in your post will result in your removal from the community. Only moderators may do this.
• Please post using proper English, including grammar and spelling. No h4x0rspeak (e.g., "j00 w|ll b3 0wnz0r3D by l0nG-tErm d4pr33sE4c|0n"), no IM language (e.g., "omg liek wtf r u doin n3wayz?"), and please type slowly enough so that your post is not mostly typos. You will get more responses to your question if you do this.
• Save the online test results for your personal journal, even if they're about sex.
• If you copy a relevant article or email into a post make sure to remove the headers and >s.
• Don't post the same thing multiple times.
• If you want to publicize a community (even if it is sex related), post about it in community_promo, not here.
• Please don't use icons/post pictures that are not appropriate for younger readers or for the workplace.
