[ **mood** | Stylish once more ] I know I don't like to post updates and the like but it has been a truly red letter week. My guild did neat things that don't apply the least bit to the real world. They also did things that do apply like organize the annual get together to be in Tampa this year.I had my first house guest and she had a wonderful time in visiting... but not so great as I did in having her here. Truly though my capacity to express myself is limited compared to hers to weave an image into being. If she gives me permission to do so I'll link to her journal detailing how it was.Edit: She did!Tampa is very warm.stylish_jew has a lovely home, but no cats (yet).I began to organize his books but didn't finish. We've been reading a lot.Last night we watched Persuasion on PBS. Today we went to the Dali Museum. Tonight we're watching Rome on DVD.I've taken a few pictures and no doubt will take many more at the zoo tomorrow (unless we don't go and then I, uh, won't). Keep an eye on the photos tagged "tampa" here. End of edit.Oh, and precisely 3 minutes and 48 seconds ago My license was approved making my future success and further phases of my plans assured to succeed. Let there be a cessation of stagnation.

[ **mood** | sober...for now ] I know I know, I dont' post entries anymore or whatnot, I just wanted to explain my absence from gig this year. I wanted to go a lot, but I had to miss out for a very good reason. I'm going to school again. tonight was my first class. I have to still work so I'm going to class on the weekends. If this works out I have a job lined up for what I'm studying. It will pay me $50000 a year and I wouldn't even have to get out of bed in the morning just cuz I'l have govment certification on some obscure thing that I have a gift for. For those with short attention spans:stylish is sorry he missed gig, but if this works out he'll be able to visit any and all times that you want him to later.PS: flogging molly concert in town on may 15th if you guys want to come on down lemme know.

[ **mood** | stylish? ] That would be you guys. go you!Haven't updated in a month. been busy. not an excuse you make the time for the things you want to, and I think I've been stubbornly keeping my thoughts to myself.Things have been hectic lately. I was fired from work, but upon review of my actions in the situation I was instead bumped up to management track.The first adult who gave me a chance to prove myself is dying. He has colon cancer, and the time that he got from chemo has just run out. He's left the hospital to go home to be with his family and loved ones. I wrote to him. What does one say to a loved one in that situation? I chose to say what I felt because they were good things to say since I meant them.My father has been having heart troubles and this worries me. I've never been very close with him and really we have little if anything in common. The radio has been cruel and seemingly playing Everclear's "Father of Mine" maybe no more so than usual, but it damn well seems that way.All in all I'm doing well, health is doing great. Will be seeing some of the crew come disney world. this strikes me as neat.(this update was erased earlier. stupid power outage)

I hope you enjoy it.The Fiction: Jose Gaspar was a feared and dreaded pirate who plied the waters of the gulf from his base in Tampa Bay. There is a parade called Gasparilla in which this is commemerated every year.The Reality: The good people of Tampa Bay unwilling to subject themselves to more mundane means of economic sustenance would periodically put out the local lighthouse lights and loot the cargo of ships that would crash upon the rocks. There are 3 parades called Gasparilla. 1 for children in which they are taught how to participate in Mardi Gras type events. 1 which is shown to the public on an afternoon 1 week later. Similar to Mardi Gras, less vomit, more nudity. There is also the Night parade which we know well enough to keep to ourselves thank you very much.Happy Gasparilla me hearties.

[ **mood** | better ] sorry. turns out that the problem with me coming to baltimore for the full week no longer exist. it was something about "that work I'd done being challenged by the customer for accuracy". so I provided stamped, dated duplicated, double spaced, and collated, notarized, photographic evidence that I'm right... because I just happen to keep this on hand. (trusting sleazy customers is bad). I'm off to orlando right now to present this and will in fact be in baltimore for christmas. Huzzah!(agnes I got your gift too but you can't report me or you can't have it.)

[ **mood** | angry ] First message on my phone when I get back:Boss: Stylish mike, we are gonna have to talk about your upcoming vacation...So I call him up.Boss: yeah, I need you to cut it short.Me: but I bought the tickets a month ago...Boss: well that project that you worked on that made us $275,000? we need you to do it again on a different jobsite.Me: ... I brought this upon myself didn't I?Boss: look you can still go for like 2 days...Me: I will shit on you.Boss: what?Me: right in your spine, and give you menangitis.Me: hangs up.Its not all that bad actually I'll just be visiting for 5 days instead of 7 like I intended.Gifts are almost complete, now begins the dangerous task of wrapping them. I damn well better see you ALL or I'ma gonna have to burn down my jobsite.
