/'lin-dE 'häp/ n. - an energetic American swing dance popularized in the 1930s, named after aviator Charles Lindbergh’s trans-Atlantic flight.

Portland is home to a friendly and diverse community of people addicted to Lindy Hop. Whether dancing to Jazz, Big Band, Blues, Swing, Dj'd or Live Bands and Orchestras, this community loves the music, the people, the freedom, and the celebratory attitude of swing dancing.

Dances are held several nights each week. Young and old, dark and light, small and large, all meeting up to swingout!
