Oh my God I either need to buy the wave set for Sue's birthday or... wadda yah think about it with my formal dress?

Oooh, that'd look good! Except is it the right green? Not sure, you'll have to check that out. I could do a darker green version if I can scrounge up the beads for it.

that's okay! :)

Thanks, he's not so cute anymore - he's kinda fat and dumpy, so we make fun of him now.

haha...

I have a whole bunch of beads that may not be high quality, but they have sentimental value. I wanted to string them up, but I don't have a wire crimper, and don't want to buy it just for this. Do you think you could create something using beads someone already had? Like custom, but I don't really know what I want the final product to look like.

Sure! I've done that for a friend before. You'd have to send them to me and I can see what I can create :)

everything you make is adoooorable!

i seriously want a recovery bracelet. i'm trying to think of designs.... any ideas?

Squeak! That'd be really rad. I made one for myself a long time ago. It's a charm bracelet with charms that represent recovery, like a horse (Remuda Ranch), a charm that says "Courage," a bird (strength), a high-heel shoe (for feeling pretty) and other stuff. I used a lot of glass beads in an earthy color scheme.

yaaay! don't ever go back to school!!

on etsy, are the listings for a predetermined amount of time or are they just for as long as you want? do you pay extra for more pics on your listings? I was looking around on there and I am thinking of ditching e bay and joining team etsy! e bay is so ridiculously expensive to sell on and remarkably inconvenient. hmmmm.

woooow. I answered my own questions by reading etsy FAQ duh!
All I can say is crafty overload!! I'm so excited!

Yayness! You will find you sell more on Etsy because people that go there are looking for things handmade, not just for a bargain like on ebay.

You'd LOVE Etsy! It costs a flat rate of TEN CENTS per listing. It's free to join. They don't charge extra for anything but multiple listings (like if you have 2 of the same thing) which are an additional ten cents. You can have up to four pictures which is plenty. The only other extra charges are from paypal for the e-commerce fees which are really low. I think last month my total etsy and e-commerce fees were $10 and that was after I posted and sold a ton of stuff.

I recommend ONLY accepting Paypal. This is experience talking.

The listings last a really long time. The stuff I posted yesterday will not expire until November of this year!

Etsy may take a bit to get the hang of, like when you list the tags for your items you can only use single words and no numbers, the title can't have any special characters, etc.

If you need help setting up a store let me know, I can be your mentor :) I have a mentor from when I started out, she's great.

yay! I am totally changing sides. See you later e bay! I can never seem to list anything without it being more than a dollar! and their comission is crazy.

AND Etsy seems to have better caliber stuff. On e bay your handmade stuff is mixed in with 284857473 other handmade things 95% of which are total junk. Ugh.

I hear you on the Paypal. I decided to be nice and accept money orders and stuff. So annoying.

Yay yay yay! OK now I actually have to go make stuff!!!!!

I think the Purple Waves set might be just a wee bit too small for my Amazon self. Not that I'm of truly Amazon proportions, just that I am "big boned" (fir rils) and tallish and have long arms & legs, lol. Anyway, I'm wondering how you can / do / might increase the length of the bracelet and/or necklace. Cuz the wave bits look predetermined as to their length. I know that YOU can do it, I'm just wondering. Cuz I might maybe possibly buy that set. I'm currently trying to decide between buying it and seeing if it fits, or just having you lengthen it. Whadda ya think?

HA ha! "Amazon self," that's a hoot! I can and will lengthen the wave bracelet/necklace as needed. How you say? I can't add more tubes since that'd make it monstrously longer so I will simply add more spacer beads inbetween them. I can also add a little length to the loop I tie it off at. I can get the bracelet to 7.5 inches if need be :)

Thanks! I have another pendant like that which is a lot more curved. I may make something similar to the blue one soon.
