Tis the Season... [Dec. 18th, 2005|02:36 pm]fading...
I'm looking out my window, popping ibuprofen over my morning coffee, and I'm amazed. Fat, wet snowflakes are racing down to the world. Maybe it's the hangover, maybe it's my current worried-dramatic mood....but it's beautiful none the less.Gloriously dazing, world consuming and memory jolting. I stood with my arms open in winters cold embrace and remembered. The countless winter days, under too many layers- sweat freezing to my young skin. Dancing, rolling, falling, and laughing in mounds and mounds of snow. Joyous days long gone, smiles disappeared from my lips. But todayTODAYI got it.I fucking got it, I grabbed it- I held it.I reveled in the memories and age couldn't hold me.Bruised my foot, damnit. Covered in snow and rolling through the heaps of wet huge snowdrops. Laying in my own snow angel, I lost it again. But I smiled. For one brief, shiny moment I was that snot nosed kid again. Wearing too much pink (thanks mom), my mop in a mess and flying everywhere, gapped tooth grin open for the world. (thanks for the braces too)Sappy huh?I laid there and was buried under flowing drops of nostalgia. Gods...I was happy for that instant. Now...well, I'm still smiling. And under 3 blankets, sniffly, and laughing at myself. Think my little outing will help my cold?I'm in a mood, I'm not ecstatically happy...not anymore. But, I'm not miserably depressed anymore either. Content...I haven't been here in so long, almost missed what it truly was. Feels good. cruelestofsmiles (© 2005) aka Mandy

I'm feeling really off lately... I don't know what it is, but I'm absolutely morose... I walked home three miles in the cold and snow yesterday trying to clear my head and I just felt worse. I think I'll be okay after this a couple weeks, but right now I just want to be able to be a whiny emo-brat and not have someone tell me to just shut up about all these insignificant things bothering me.

This tree was magnificent in size, bigger than any other tree in the forest, making it very conspicuous. The tree had many friends that liked to cavort around in his branches. Day by day and night by night they enjoyed the presence of the tree. One day, a little boy came up to read in the comfort of the tree’s shadow. The bindings of the young boys book was so worn that you couldn’t even read the title. Everyday, the young boy would journey out with his worn book to seek refuge under the tree. They became fast friends. The boy told him of many visions he had, of the future, of a happy world. The boy’s vivid imagination inspired the tree, and the tree was happy. Then one day, as the boy made his daily walk towards the tree he seemed somber. He told the tree that he was leaving and would not be able to see him ever again. He then turned his back on the tree and took a stick to the earth. He illustrated a young boy reading a book under a very large tree. Then, without looking back, he left. The tree wept. As time went on, the boy grew. He collaborated with many men and constructed himself a very large enterprise. At the peak of his career he decided to build one of his markets in his home town. He took a plane home and mapped out the location. As the construction crew gathered together they noticed a large tree in the way. With only one resolution in mind, the once-young-boy took an axe. And swung.
