| | What a great weekend! Yesterday my husband and I planned to take our kids to the zoo in Madison, WI (about 2 hours from our house). On the way there we made a planned stop at the Princeton antiques market. I have had a few things on my antique wish list, but haven't been able to find exactly what I want or at a very good price. Yesterday I struck gold and found 2 of the things that I have been looking for. A Red Wing crock for my fireplace hearth and an old oak chair with cut work for my front porch. The chair has some nasty teal color paint on it, but I think it will look great when it is refinished and sitting on my porch with a colorful Mum this fall. I have never done refinishing before, but on TV it looks pretty easy. So I am hoping to get to the stripping this week and then start the sanding after we get back from our camping trip.On a side note, it was over a hundred degrees at the zoo yesterday. Really a bit warm for Wisconsin.
