I'm going to stay with the family of our resident lama and visit the capital city, witness the village life in the mountains and see the monasteries. If anyone has experienced this, I would love to hear about it (you can comment here or message me)!Anyways, here are the icons.. enjoy! **HERE @ jewelotus**001. ✿Please give credit.002. ✿Don't claim anything as your own.003. ✿Comments make me happy!♥ | | | | | | (1 Om Mani Peme Hung | Recite a Mantra)

I found two good and promising organizations: http://www.asia-ngo.org/ and http://trace.org/ Has anybody here worked for them? Does anybody know any other NGOs in China, where I can try to apply for a full time work.I am Russian, Buddhist, living in China mainland. I speak fluent Chinese and beginner level of Tibetan. At the present time I am working for the international business consulting company in Beijing, but find this work quite meaningless. It's like i am working there with no any interest and only for supplying myself with food and accomodation.I want to work for charity, get closer to people who need help. Due to I dont have spare money to start helping others or to apply for any short-term volonteer projects (all projects I found in China are leading by one own expenses), I am ready to offer all my time, energy and knowledge for working at any position in a charity organization. Please, help me to get involved to charity.Best wishes, Anna | | | | | | (2 Om Mani Peme Hungs | Recite a Mantra)

My name is Paul Sireci, and I am a second-year masters student at the Smith College School for Social Work. I am currently collecting data for my thesis in order to examine the relationship that Tibetan Buddhists have with professional mental health care. Specifically, I am trying to gather data on what concerns Tibetan Buddhists believe are best addressed by professional mental healthcare, by their Buddhist teacher/spiritual community/or practice, by both, or by neither. I am currently recruiting participants for the study, which is a web-based survey that takes approximately 20-45 minutes to complete depending on your response time.**( Read more...Collapse )**To see if you meet the eligibility requirements and then participate, please click on the following link:SurveyThank you so much for your time and interest!INTRODUCTIONNAME: PaulAGE: 28LOCATION: ColoradoARE YOU BUDDHIST? I myself have been doing Medicine Buddha kind of obsessively for my own health, those close to me, and pretty much anybody in trouble, but I would like to know if there is anyone more specific. | | | | | | (4 Om Mani Peme Hungs | Recite a Mantra)
