Wiccan Covens Toronto? [Feb. 28th, 2021|08:12 am]Toronto's Occult Community
I'm looking for a coven to learn more about Wicca and its rites and practices, and to have people who share my faith to celebrate holidays. I'm very new but I was wondering if this would be possible.

Curse [Nov. 8th, 2009|07:04 pm]Toronto's Occult Community
Does anyone know if any psychics in the Hamilton area. It's believed there's a curse in my family and I would really want to talk to someone about it. Thanks.

Perched Above My Chamber Door [Aug. 6th, 2009|10:32 pm]Toronto's Occult Community
Does anyone know where in Toronto I can pick up a nice(ish) and cheap(ish) bust of Athena? I'm not looking for anything big, in fact, the size of a fist would be great. I don't want to spend too much on it though, $40 is my goal, but I could go hire. I took a quick walk through Greektown on my way home yesterday, but didn't see any.

New to Toronto *and* need to find some like minded people [Jul. 20th, 2009|02:57 pm]Toronto's Occult Community
[Current Location |Canada, Toronto, Carr St, 46-56] [Current Mood curiouscurious]Hey y'all...I just moved up here from New Orleans, and I'm dying to find some people in the area I can meet with who share some of my "darker" interests...I don't suppose I'm *as* "occult" as a lot of people in this group. I do study occult and esoteric concepts like crazy, and I'm a big-time Tarot enthusiast (mystere2e on Aeclectic). I mix the occult and esoteric with beliefs I have found in Catholicism and Judaism. Yep, I'm a big melting pot of theological interests, haha.Aside from my interest in Tarot I'm majorly devoted to scrying.I'm wondering if anyone else here is into Tarot, scrying, comparative study of world religions, or Egyptian magick (former member of Golden Dawn here). If so, I would love to talk to you.P.S. Can anyone refer me to a good occult shop Downtown? A place that would have Tarot decks, books, crystals, crystal spheres/balls, etc.

Pagan/child friendly cafes in the GTA? [Jun. 26th, 2009|10:35 am]Toronto's Occult Community
Just out of curiosity does anyone know of any pagan/child friendly cafes in GTA ?If they would be willing to accommodate a group of 10-20 people on a monthly basis that would be ideal. Extra bonus if they were either central/downtown or close to the Subway line.I know that the Jade Elephant in Etobicoke has the occasional mini psychic fair and drumming circles there, but that is quite out of the way to get to...Thank you in advanced for your feedback.tryst.

New Here! [Mar. 12th, 2009|04:49 pm]Toronto's Occult Community
[Tags**|introductions] [Current Location** Hamilton] [Current Mood aggravatedaggravated]Strangely enough, I found this community by googling for occult shops in Toronto (and found the address for Formula 1--woooohooooo!). Anyhow...My name is Aelwyn. I'm fairly active in the Hamilton Pagan Community, and regularly attend the Hammertown Pagan Pub Moot. I'll actually be doing card readings there this month and next month to finance a trip to NYC for the NYC makeup show (I'm a makeup student and getting there to meet and greet and learn the industry is very important for me). I read Faeries Oracle cards and do a specialized crystals reading. My man will also be reading cards, but reads Magic: The Gathering as oracle cards (I'm serious--how geeky/cool is that?).Enough advertising, a bit about me:I'm 29, a Haegtessa, a Hard Polytheist of mostly the Hellenic kind (though not Hellenismos), on this path for 21 years, a Child of Hekate and Pan, and now venturing into Hoodoo.MUA by trade, MUA in school (getting certified so I can join the union), disabled (you don't want a list of my health issues...LOL), in love, thirsty for all kinds of knowledge, thrift store/flea market/antique store hound, crafter, and lover of all things skulls. :)That's about it. Nice to be here, and to see this community! :)

Book signing tonight [Feb. 18th, 2009|01:35 pm]Toronto's Occult Community
All you lovely people in Toronto, or near enough to it:I invite you to the Building Bridges Pub Moot tonight where I will be signing copies of my fourth book, A Pagan Testament. Location: The Groundhog Pub - 401 Bloor street east. (Nearest TTC: Sherbourne station.) Date: Today! 18th February, 2009Time: 7pm.About the book:Pagans often claim that their spiritual inspiration comes not from a written scripture but from personal experience and original creativity. While this is true, there are also many written works which constitute its "testament", or its central literary expressions of spiritual identity. Some of them are thousands of years old, such as the Descent of Ishtar, and the Homeric Hymn to Demeter. Others are more recent, such as the Charge of the Goddess. These written works have not been brought together, in the same book, since the movement began."A Pagan Testament" collects these original works, along with the poetry and prose that inspired the founders of Wicca when it all began. It also includes the largest collection of circle songs and wisdom teachings ever published: over 100 wisdom-teachings and 130 circle songs, contributed by almost two thousand people, from twelve different countries around the worldClick here for more information on this and other books I've written. And, click here to see the YouTube video!Buy copies directly from me at the pub tonight for $25. You can also get copies from Amazon or other online retailers, or direct from the publisher. It can also be ordered from any bookstore in the world. I will also have a few copies of OSV available too.
