transabusevic - Profile (original) (raw)

on 3 January 2004 (#1770769)

This community exists to help transpeople who are survivors of abuse. There are many forms of abuse that people are vulnerable to from birth onwards. The abuse does not have to be related to gender issues to be relevant here.

Please, remember we are all fairly sensitive to harsh words, so even if you don't agree with what someone has written, be gentle in your comments, as you would expect people to be in comments to your posts. Attacks on community members will not be tolerated- we are here to help, not hurt each other.

Please use an LJ-cut with brief content warning for things that might be upsetting to other members (ie cut for child sexual abuse), cutting very long posts is helpful too. If you can't work out the instructions for LJ cuts in the FAQ's (don't worry, I couldn't), email or IM xxasimont, I know how to explain so it's fairly easy to remember.

If you know someone who you think might benefit from the community please feel free to tell them we're here.
