“Higher! Higher!” she screamed with laughter and the warm hands pushed slightly harder. She watched her shiny, black shoes fly up into her field of vision, kicking at the clouds above her as gravity took hold and pulled her back. Warm hands caught her back and slowly brought her down to earth, slower than her descent normally would.
“Again, Uncle Farman! Again! Higher!” Elysia cried as she looked up at him and he smiled. It was a gentle smile that spoke more to the woman approaching than the child who was receiving.
“For a little longer, then we need to head back,” Uncle Farman said before pushing the girl into the air again.
“Can I bother you, Farman?” Aunt Riza asked and Elysia knew her pusher was gone.
“Sure, Elysia, stay in sight,” Uncle Farman stated and she smiled before hopping off her swing and heading towards the jungle gym.

She was hanging upside down smiling and giggling with her friends, Tommy and Josh. They were her friends back when she lived with Mama and Daddy. One time, at her birthday, both Tommy and Josh wanted her to play with them and Daddy had scared them away with his gun. Elysia smiled at the memory as she told them about her Uncle Farman.
“You could come over to my house sometimes for dinner,” Josh whispered.
“I’d have to ask Uncle Farman,” she said and he nodded. “Thank your Mama and Daddy for me.” Josh looked sad and Tommy looked at Elysia helplessly.
“I can’t,” Josh whispered and she realized something. She climbed down and they followed.
“What happened, Josh?” she asked and Josh hugged her.
“Daddy didn’t come home,” he whispered and Elysia nodded.
“I’m sorry,” she said as she hugged him back and Tommy hugged too. Tommy couldn’t say anything, he had both his Mama and Daddy, but that didn’t mean he didn’t feel sorry.

Elysia looked over to see Uncle Farman and Aunt Riza talking still and she sighed as she waved goodbye to both Tommy and Josh. The playground was getting empty and then came the sound of someone on the swing.
She blinked, because she hadn’t noticed anyone near the swings the last time she looked around. She turned and there was a little boy on the swings. Well, he wasn’t a little boy, but he wasn’t a big boy either. He was bigger than her, but he wasn’t as big as Big Brother Edward.
“Hi,” he said as he looked out at her from under a mop of long, black hair.
“Hello,” she said, noticing he was wearing a funny, black shirt that didn’t cover his belly and very tight, black shorts. “Are you cold?” He smiled at her, only letting her see one purple eye and half of his pale face.
“No, I never get cold,” he said as he looked past her at Aunt Riza and Uncle Farman. “Are those your Mommy and Daddy?” She looked at them for a moment and shook her head.
“No, that’s my Uncle Farman and Aunt Riza,” she said and he looked at her.
“Where are your Mommy and Daddy?” he asked and Elysia looked down before sighing.
“They’re gone,” she said, not seeing the wicked smirk that crossed the other child’s face.
“Did they leave you?” he asked and she looked up at him in shock.
“No, they d-d-d…they’re dead!” she spat, it hurt suddenly. Like someone shoved her very hard in the chest and she couldn’t get any air. He looked sympathetic now and nodded.
“My Mommy’s dead too,” he said and Elysia looked at him. He was like Josh and her. She smiled at him and closed her eyes as she did whenever she smiled as brightly as she could. This meant she didn’t see his smile turn ugly and cruel again. “Want to play with me?”
“Sure,” she giggled and he hopped off the swing.
“Okay, you swing and I’ll push!” he cried and she smiled before hopping onto the empty swing. Slowly he began to push, making her rise and fall, slowly the pushes got harder and the girl went higher.
“This is fun!” she cried and the little boy smirked. All it would take was one good push for her to go flying off the swing, hit the jungle gym, and snap, and tah dah, one broken neck…or maybe spine. He grinned maniacally before he heard the footsteps. The man was approaching and he knew it was best not to be seen.
Elysica felt the warm hands and smiled at her Uncle Farman. He smiled down at her before plucking her off the swing.
“Time to go home,” Uncle Farman said and Elysia pouted before looking around.
“Where’d he go?” she asked and Uncle Farman looked at her confused. “The little boy who was pushing me?”
“Sorry, Elysia, he must have run off,” Uncle Farman said and she shrugged before hugging him.
“Okay, I’ll see him next time when we come to play,” she said with a smile and Uncle Farman smiled. Elysia rested her chin on his shoulder and they headed off.

They didn’t see the purple eyes that followed them, black eyebrows down low. Something about the scene made him mad, made him rage inside. Sharp teeth ground together as he watched the little girl kiss the man’s cheek, something in him hated seeing this.
The girl hugged the man, resting her cheek against his as she watched the playground move further away. A small smile on her lips was made him want to rip the two apart even more. This was not how it should go! He felt the empty feeling when he was watching them, like with the woman he had Pride use to make Sloth. Correction, not them, her. He felt that empty, missing feeling when looking at her hugging that man.
“I could do it next time if you want,” Wrath stated as he looked at the younger sin and Greed simply growled. “I can still smell her on my hands.” Greed almost gave in to the taunt, but he didn’t. Instead he watched her and the man vanish before he turned to leave. Soon…he would get her soon, then the feeling of something missing would be gone and he could focus on other desires.

Have fun.
