This research aims to determine the effect of problem based learing (PBL) with question cards on environmental pollution on PSA, scientific attitudes, and student learning outcomes. The type of research used a quasi-experimental study using a nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Sampling used a cluster random sampling technique. Data collection used PSA description questions, scientific attitude questionnaires, and multiple-choice test to measure the learning outcomes. Data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis, multivariate analysis of variance (Manova) test, and N-gain test. It does and it is integrated to almost all themes constitute the curricullum. Science in kindergarten is considered important to develop the very beginning of a scientific way of thinking, that is logic, based on data/reality, and using a causal-effect relationship. Kindergarten teacher should be very carefull in intrducing science to young children since their reasoning is still syncretic and they frequently use magical causality. Kata kunci: science, young children, sains, TK A. PENDAHULUAN Mata Pelajaran sains memang tidak tercantum di dalam kurikulum TK, tetapi hal itu bukan berarti bahwa sains tidak ada di TK. Sains di TK tetap ada dan terpadu dengan bidang lainnya hampir di setiap tema. Pengenalan sains untuk anak TK jika dilakukan dengan benar akan mengembangkan secara bertahap kemampuan berpikir logis yang belum di miliki anak. Salah satu pendekatan yang banyak digunakan dalam pengenalan sains di TK adalah pendekatan Open Inquiry. Pendekatan ini tidak bertujuan mengajarkan suatu konsep sains kepada anak, tetapi lebih mengajak anak melakukan eksplorasi terhadap fenomena alam melalui interaksi langsung dengan obyek. Anak berlatih melakukan observasi, memanipulasi obyek, mengukur, mengklasifikasi obyek, melakukan percobaan sederhana, dan dilanjutkan dengan mengkonstruksi pengetahuan sesuai dengan pola pikirnya yang masih sinkretik. Pola pikir anak yang bersifat sinkretik menyebabkan anak tidak dapat melihat hubungan antarvariabel sebagai hubungan sebab-akibat (causality) yang logis. Bagi anak TK, dua atau lebih variabel dapat saja dihubungkan sehingga hal itu sering disebut hubungan sebab-akibat yang magis (magical causality) (Wolfinger, 1994). This study used the ADDIE model with 30 students of Rengat 1 Public Middle School as research subjects. The instruments used are non-test instruments in the form of validation sheets and practicality sheets. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari kecocokan model item response theory dengan instrumen penilaian akhir tahun tes Biologi di SMAN 2 Yogyakarta yang diujikan pada tahun pelajaran 2021/2022. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Instrumen tersebut dianalisis berdasarkan item fit dan parameter butir dengan responden sebanyak 287 yang telah memilih opsi dari 40 butir yang tersedia. Many electronic school books (ESB) have visual representations to explain the concepts. When the visual presentation is not good, the students have difficulty understanding the concepts or even having misconceptions. The research is kind of descriptive qualitative research. The study resulted in data that ESB of samples 1 had the highest percentage to ESB samples 2 and 3. ESB sample-1 had concept accuracy of 87.5%, visual representation type is 57.14%, analysis of the relationship between visual representation and matter content is 68.57% , the metaphorical aspect is 82.85% and the illustrative function is 68.57%. In other words, the visual representation needs to be improved.

During the pandemic of COVID-19, online learning was introduced, and the students' achievemen... more During the pandemic of COVID-19, online learning was introduced, and the students' achievement decreased. This research aimed to find the effect of the biology learning model by using real objects (RO), ICT, and Blended Learning (BL) on students’ factual and conceptual knowledge. The research design was a quasi-experiment with a pretest and posttest comparison group design. This research was done in two senior high schools. Cluster random sampling was used to choose three groups of RO, ICT, and BL, involving two biology teachers and 139 students. The instrument was mainly tests of factual and conceptual knowledge. The test items were validated by expert judgment and an empirical test. Multivariate analysis was applied to test the difference in the effect of the three learning models. This research aims to know the impact of numeral circuit game for children of DCD designed with adding numbers in each number post for preschool children experiencing the difficulty in differentiating numeral symbol. 15 children participate on this research. Th... more Teachers in Indonesia must follow Teacher Professional Development Program (PPG) for one year. This article reflects the curriculum of PPG through the TPACK profile of the graduates. TPACK is composed of Pedagogical Knowledge (PK), Content Knowledge (CK), and Technological Knowledge (TK) as proposed by Shulman. This research measured PK, CK, TK and PCK of biology teachers participated in PPG SM3T in the Biology Education Study Program in UNY to reflect on the curriculum of PPG. The respondents were fifteen biology teachers participated in PPG. The instruments were tests constructed based on the test of teacher competences test (UKG) and on the national biology Olympiad tests. The tests were conducted at the end of the program. The results were analyzed using descriptive statistic. The results indicate that PK, CK, and TK of the PPG participant scored 59.3, 52.9, dan 62.7 of scale 100. The results was similar to the results of National Teacher Examination (UKG) where biology teachers scored 62.0. The CK scored 26.2 for material of genetics of the national Olympiad. Therefore, the teacher competences on TPACK still need improvement. The curriculum of PPG that relayed meanly on PK should be adapted to the development of CK and TK.

This research is quasi experimentresearch, with kind of reseach is nonequivalent control group design. The population in this research is 50 children, the sample consisting of 36 children, consist of from 18 children like as experiment group and 18 children like as control group. The experiment group was given treatment with science game about sink and floating, while in control group the activities be held likes usually. The accumulation data with observation thread. Which data in the result then to analysis and to test by t-test of statistic to see different between experiment group with control group. Based on the result of the paired sample t-test in experiment group, obtain p value is 0,000 < 0,05. The difference statistically significant, t count-22,039≤t table1,739. While in independent t-test obtained the value of t count-13,567 ≤ t table 1,690. So, based on the analysis the result is indicated there are influence from science game about sink and floating toward classification ability children at the age 5-6 years old.

Penelitian ini menggunakan meta analisis yaitu mengkaji sejumlah jurnal penelitian dalam masalah sejenis yang diambil secara purposive berdasarkan kesesuaiannya dengan tema penelitian. Kajian jurnal yang digunakan berasal dari basis data google scholar sebanyak 35 jurnal dalam kisaran enam tahun terakhir (2018-2012). Kata kunci: science, young children, sains, TK A. PENDAHULUAN Mata Pelajaran sains memang tidak tercantum di dalam kurikulum TK, tetapi hal itu bukan berarti bahwa sains tidak ada di TK. Sains di TK tetap ada dan terpadu dengan bidang lainnya hampir di setiap tema. Pengenalan sains untuk anak TK jika dilakukan dengan benar akan mengembangkan secara bertahap kemampuan berpikir logis yang belum di miliki anak. Salah satu pendekatan yang banyak digunakan dalam pengenalan sains di TK adalah pendekatan Open Inquiry. Pendekatan ini tidak bertujuan mengajarkan suatu konsep sains kepada anak, tetapi lebih mengajak anak melakukan eksplorasi terhadap fenomena alam melalui interaksi langsung dengan obyek. Anak berlatih melakukan observasi, memanipulasi obyek, mengukur, mengklasifikasi obyek, melakukan percobaan sederhana, dan dilanjutkan dengan mengkonstruksi pengetahuan sesuai dengan pola pikirnya yang masih sinkretik. Pola pikir anak yang bersifat sinkretik menyebabkan anak tidak dapat melihat hubungan antarvariabel sebagai hubungan sebab-akibat (causality) yang logis. Bagi anak TK, dua atau lebih variabel dapat saja dihubungkan sehingga hal itu sering disebut hubungan sebab-akibat yang magis (magical causality) (Wolfinger, 1994). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Many electronic school books (ESB) have visual representations to explain the concepts. When the visual presentation is not good, the students have difficulty understanding the concepts or even having misconceptions. The research is kind of descriptive qualitative research. The study resulted in data that ESB of samples 1 had the highest percentage to ESB samples 2 and 3. ESB sample-1 had concept accuracy of 87.5%, visual representation type is 57.14%, analysis of the relationship between visual representation and matter content is 68.57% , the metaphorical aspect is 82.85% and the illustrative function is 68.57%. In other words, the visual representation needs to be improved.

This research aimed to find the effect of the biology learning model by using real objects (RO), ICT, and Blended Learning (BL) on students’ factual and conceptual knowledge. The research design was a quasi-experiment with a pretest and posttest comparison group design. This research was done in two senior high schools. Cluster random sampling was used to choose three groups of RO, ICT, and BL, involving two biology teachers and 139 students. The instrument was mainly tests of factual and conceptual knowledge. The test items were validated by expert judgment and an empirical test. Multivariate analysis was applied to test the difference in the effect of the three learning models. Th... more Teachers in Indonesia must follow Teacher Professional Development Program (PPG) for one year. This article reflects the curriculum of PPG through the TPACK profile of the graduates. TPACK is composed of Pedagogical Knowledge (PK), Content Knowledge (CK), and Technological Knowledge (TK) as proposed by Shulman. This research measured PK, CK, TK and PCK of biology teachers participated in PPG SM3T in the Biology Education Study Program in UNY to reflect on the curriculum of PPG. The respondents were fifteen biology teachers participated in PPG. The instruments were tests constructed based on the test of teacher competences test (UKG) and on the national biology Olympiad tests. The tests were conducted at the end of the program. The results were analyzed using descriptive statistic. The results indicate that PK, CK, and TK of the PPG participant scored 59.3, 52.9, dan 62.7 of scale 100. The results was similar to the results of National Teacher Examination (UKG) where biology teachers scored 62.0. The CK scored 26.2 for material of genetics of the national Olympiad. Therefore, the teacher competences on TPACK still need improvement. The curriculum of PPG that relayed meanly on PK should be adapted to the development of CK and TK.

This research is quasi experimentresearch, with kind of reseach is nonequivalent control group design. The population in this research is 50 children, the sample consisting of 36 children, consist of from 18 children like as experiment group and 18 children like as control group. The experiment group was given treatment with science game about sink and floating, while in control group the activities be held likes usually. The accumulation data with observation thread. Which data in the result then to analysis and to test by t-test of statistic to see different between experiment group with control group. Based on the result of the paired sample t-test in experiment group, obtain p value is 0,000 < 0,05. The difference statistically significant, t count-22,039≤t table1,739. While in independent t-test obtained the value of t count-13,567 ≤ t table 1,690. So, based on the analysis the result is indicated there are influence from science game about sink and floating toward classification ability children at the age 5-6 years old.
