This study aims to describe and analyze the relationship between Perceptions of User Ease (PEOU),... more This study aims to describe and analyze the relationship between Perceptions of User Ease (PEOU), Perceived Usefulness (PU), Attitudes Toward Using (ATU), and Acceptance (ACC) of the Union Catalog Server-based Senayan Library Management System (SLiMS) by librarians and library managers within the scope of the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries in Indonesia. This research is a quantitative descriptive. Sampling using total sampling. The research analysis used SmartPLS 3.0 to test 4 primary constructs (internal variable) Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) on the answers of 27 respondents spread across 27 libraries in Indonesia using the SLiMS Union Catalog Server. The results show that (1) PEOU has a significant effect on PU. It can be seen that the t-statistic value is above 1.96 (4.716) t-table sign at level 0, 5% (0.649). (2) PEOU does not affect ATU. The Electronic Filing System is a form of concrete application of information technology in archi... more The Electronic Filing System is a form of concrete application of information technology in archival institutions. This system is used to facilitate and speed up the work of archivists. In practice, this system needs to be evaluated. This study aims to evaluate the utilization of the Electronic Filing System as an information retrieval information medium at the Records Center Unit of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry and to provide solutions on how to overcome various existing obstacles. This type of research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. Sampling using a non-probability technique with saturated sampling. The sample used was 31 respondents or the entire population. Data analysis uses a Likert scale, and the calculation uses an interval scale. Evaluation of the utilization of this Electronic Filing System uses the effectiveness standard of Ron Weber in his book entitled "Evaluating Control and Audit", with a focus on evaluating system quality variables. The results showed that the level of effectiveness of the Electronic Filing System in information retrieval was relatively high. It can be seen from the results of eight indicators on the evaluating system quality variable studied. The results are as follows: Response time indicator is very high (3.54), turnaround time is very high (3.58), system reliability/stability is high (3.25), ease of interaction with the system is very high (3.3), functional usability provided by the system is very high (3.51), ease of learning is very high (3.35), quality of documentation and assistance facilities is very high (3.36), and level of integration with other systems is relatively low (2.35). All these indicators obtained an average score of 3.27, which was included in the reasonably high category. Only indicators of the level of integration with other systems need to be developed further in the future. The results of this study are beneficial for the records centre unit in evaluating the Electronic Filing System according to the standards and guidelines for the effectiveness of an information retrieval system so that it is more optimal in facilitating staff work and providing services to users.

This study aims to determine the differences in emotional intelligence level, self-development, t... more This study aims to determine the differences in emotional intelligence level, self-development, the decision to select a profession, and work productivity between librarians with education in library science and inpassing librarians. Librarians with library science education are those with a library science education background. In contrast, inpassing librarians are those with non-library education who decide to switch professions to become librarians by following librarianship recruitment and training procedures. This study uses a comparative approach. Collecting data uses a survey method by distributing an instrument in the form of a questionnaire with a Likert scale to 126 librarians who work in the State Islamic Religious College libraries in Indonesia. Samples were taken through a proportional random technique using the Slovin formula. The data analysis technique used bivariate comparative analysis with the statistical "t" test. The results show that the difference in emotional intelligence between librarians with education in library science and inpassing librarians has an average value of 60.43 and 58.71, respectively, with a Sig. of 0.647 > 0.05, which means that it is homogeneous and the value is Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.380 > 0.05, which means there is no significant difference. It also happens in career development between librarians educated in library science and inpassing librarians who have an average value of 48.15 and 46.55, respectively, with a Sig. of 0.231 > 0.05 and the Sig. (2-tailed) 0.283 > 0.05. Likewise, selecting a profession with an average value of 23.04 and 22.80, respectively, with a Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.743 > 0.05. The comparison of work productivity has an average value of 89.44 and 86.57, respectively, with the Sig. (2-tailed) 0.256 > 0.05. The conclusion is that there is no significant difference between librarians with education in library science and inpassing librarians in terms of emotional intelligence, career development, selecting a profession, and work productivity. They get the same opportunities to be able to develop their careers. It takes policies and supports from the leadership and the government to create a conducive environment so that they can compete, support, and complement each other, showing good achievements and performance in providing excellent service to the community.

This study was a qualitative research which used comparative linguistics and based on phonological theory. The corpus of data was verbal utterances. The data collection was done by interview using Arabic vocabularies of animals' name as a guide. Each vocabulary was recorded and transcribed phonetically. From the comparison sounds and phonemes forming vocabulary in both languages, it was known sound-changes that occur as a result of the phonemic correspondence. Every change of sound was classified, namely: referential, articulatory phonetics, translational, orthographic, the tools of speech. The results showed that Egypt colloquial and Arabic standard had a lot of phonological variation. In addition, the vocabulary of "animals" in those languages is related. Pada saat sekarang ini, munculnya jurnal elektronik mengakibatkan perpustakaan lebih memilih untuk berlangganan jurnal elektronik dibanding dengan media cetak. Hal ini dikarenakan jurnal elektronik lebih mudah diakses dibandingkan dengan jurnal cetak. UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Hasanuddin merupakan salah satu perpustakaan perguruan tinggi yang melanggan jurnal elektronik. Akan tetapi, jurnal elektronik yang dilanggan oleh UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Hasanuddin belum dimanfaatkan secara merata oleh mahasiswa khususnya Mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Hasanuddin. Mahasiswa tidak memanfaatkan jurnal elektronik tersebut bukan dikarenakan mereka tidak membutuhkan jurnal elektronik yang telah dilanggan. Akan tetapi, sebahagian besar dari mahasiswa belum mengetahui adanya jurnal elektronik yang telah dilanggan oleh UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Hasanuddin.

Pembahasan utama yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana pemanfaatan fitur copy cataloging pada aplikasi SLiMS dengan menggunakan fitur protokol Z39.50 di Perpustakaan Fakultas Adab dan Humaniora UIN Alauddin Makassar. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pemanfaatan protokol Z39.50 serta permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh pengelola perpustakaan dalam melakukan proses salin katalog dari perpustakaan Library of Congress di Amerika Serikat. Data penelitian diperoleh dari staf Perpustakaan Fakultas Adab dan Humaniora. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan fitur Z39.50 pada SLiMS sudah berjalan dengan baik. Pemanfaatan fitur Z39.50 sangat membantu staf perpustakaan dalam proses penginputan katalog bahan pustaka, khususnya yang berbahasa Inggris, karena menghemat waktu proses penginputan meskipun masih harus melakukan perubahan pada nomor klasifikasi yang mana perpustakaan FAH menggunakan sistem penomoran DDC.

This study aims to investigate the level of the use of the Ministry of Education and Culture Libr... more This study aims to investigate the level of the use of the Ministry of Education and Culture Library website through the End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) model. This type of research is explanative with a quantitative approach. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 99 users of the Ministry of Education Library who used the library website. This research questionnaire was tested for validity and reliability using Cronbach's Alpha technique and IBM, SPSS, V25, software. The results show that user satisfaction using the Ministry of Education and Culture Library website can be considered as a good website. The average score of the Content dimension is 3.14, the Accuracy dimension is 3.07, the Format dimension is 3.17, the Ease of use dimension is 3.21, the Timeliness dimension is 3.05 and for user's satisfaction is 3.04. These dimensions are on an interval scale of 2.52-3.27, thus it can be said that the website is good enough. This research recommends that the timeliness dimensions need to be improved in terms of quality to provide quick information for the users. Thus, the users will be satisfied with the website services provided by the Ministry of Education and Culture Library. Indeed, the importance of the library website should be measured and assessed periodically by using the Model End-User Computing Satisfaction to increase information services for users to develop national education.

This research uses a quantitative approach with a questionnaire as the research instrument. The result shows that the students’ ability in searching and evaluating internet-based information is low which means that their information literacy is also low. Based on this research’s result the writer suggests that LIS department of UIN should collaborate with UIN’s central library to increase the frequency of information literacy programs, by holding more seminars and workshops; the writer also suggests the need to include information literacy education in the curriculum of LIS department, and in other departments too. It is applied to retrieve a large number of references in all libraries, journals, and repositories from various institutions in Indonesia. The information resources are obtained by harvesting technique from membership online repositories. With Indonesia One Search, every people can easily access digital collection by watching and downloading full text, video learning materials, and etc. The goal of the article is to acknowledge the development of the One Search in the future. The is a qualitative study with as a descriptive approach. The key person of this research is Ismail Fahmi, Ph.D, the initiator of Indonesia One Search, and it is also supported with various literatures relating to the digital library technology. This portal develops through three stages. The first stage is the bibliographical metadata gathering process from various repositories (started in 2015). The second stage involves the crawling PDF full text in every related collection, the text analysis using NLP technology (Natural Language Processing), information extraction & knowledge mapping based on NLP, and the research mapping among institutions (2017-2018). The third stage involves the system and anti-plagiarism services by applying the plagiarism clarification (2019-2020). Indonesia One Search website answers the complications experienced by the learners and studious society in obtaining the access of scientific information by establishing an open and integrated access from various institution and preventing the possibility of plagiarism which is currently occurring in Indonesia.

The result shows that the gender role is regulated through religion by which Islamic teachings are applied in her daily life and the social construction rooted within the patriarchal ideology.
