Special Region of Yogyakarta is one of province in Indonesia. It has many universities, they are state and private university. For that, there are so many students in Yogyakarta that make Yogyakarta called by student city. Almost every student need some information to their study, but university library is not enough to provide some knowledge. So, the public library has become almost needed by students because they need many of academic knowledge. One of libraries in Yogyakarta is public library called by Grhatama Pustaka. The ability to develop content marketing strategies is an emerging skill in the digital marketing world. By using Instagram, a prominent social media platform, marketers can post pictures with interesting captions, popular hashtags and distinctive pattern of object arrangement and selection. Numerous libraries in Indonesia manage their own Instagram accounts for the same reason of offering greater possibilities in knowledge access and discovery. This paper aims to examine how libraries develop content marketing strategies in Instagram and their challenges in developing the strategies. Social Media Utilization in Universitas Indonesia Library

This research discusses social media utilization activities held in the UI Library as a promotional tool. The purpose of this study is to describe social media use by UI Library. The research applies the qualitative approach and case study method. Informants were chosen by using a purposive sampling technique. Results show that UI Library has utilized social media in the form of Twitter and Instagram as a means to promote the collections, services, or even the facilities there. The library also used social media to collect users' responses, either recommendations or complaints, which were taken as evaluation materials for service improvement. This study suggests that the library should make written policy or SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) about social media management as a media of promotions and increase the number of interactions with users on Instagram. Findings from this research may also be records in order to arrange an academic library's social media application guide, particularly in Universitas Indonesia, and on a bigger scale, in Indonesia.

Promotion Strategy through the Use of Instagram in Public Library of Depok City during Pandemic COVID-19

This study aims to determine the use of Instagram as a means of promotional activities carried out by the Depok City Public Library manager during the COVID-19 pandemic. How Libraries in Indonesia Use TikTok: A Content Analysis of Library Accounts on the Platform

The objective of this study is to examine Indonesian libraries’ TikTok accounts. The research was carried out on 12 TikTok accounts with a total of 688 posts to gain a better understanding of TikTok content, the type of information published, and follower engagement on posts. Data was collected by observing all TikTok accounts and posts. The result showed that most libraries began using TikTok in 2020, in response to the growing number of TikTok users and the shift during the pandemic. The most common types of published data are library collection information and other information. Announcements, services, and library facilities are the three types of information that receive the most engagement. This study has practical implications for libraries that use TikTok as a social media alternative. Within what we know as the “knowledge society”, the growing use of social media has become a reality worldwide, both as a source of entertainment and of information. And the universe of Librarianship maintains its relevance and impact on the distribution of knowledge, especially in Covid-19 times, when people need lack more information to make daily decisions. In this scenario, two stereotypes are commonly confused with reality: that the area of Librarianship concerns only the storage and loan of books in libraries and that social media, such as Instagram, can only be used for informal topics and of little relevance. The objective of this research is to recognize how the area of Library Science needs to explore more the spaces of social networks, with themes that bring society closer together, in order to demonstrate its ability to transmit information beyond the physical structures of libraries. For this purpose, through a qualitative research, a comparative analysis of the content produced in 2019 and 2020, before and during the Covid-19 pandemic, was carried out by the Brazilian library councils. Such content, published in the councils Instagram profiles, was categorized by their themes and these categories were compared in the two scenarios. As a result, a significant change was observed in the content analyzed, signaling a closer approach to topics of general interest to society and, consequently, an approach between Librarianship with society itself through a greater use of Digital Marketing tools, such as Instagram.

This research is motivated by mass communication and retrieval of information on Instagram, creating hate speech on digital platforms. With the availability of social media as a way of conveying the essential knowledge, society's pattern has evolved, either implicitly or unseen, causing bias in culture, ethics, and norms, resulting in conflict.
