This month, we held our #IQVIA data forum at the Paddington office. This was a collaborative session providing the opportunity for networking, sharing insights into the UK healthcare system, providing updates on IQVIA solutions and for IQVIA to seek customer input into future evolutions that would support pharma navigate the evolving landscape. A real highlight was having Yousaf Ahmad (ICS Chief Pharmacist and Director of Medicines Optimisation at NHS Frimley) as a guest speaker giving his valuable insights on topics such as how the #NHS and #Pharma could collaborate further to most effectively support patient populations.

Only 29% of diabetics patients with established CVD are receiving guideline driven care. On world diabetes day I caught up with Bhavini Khilosia, one of our diabetes national lead pharmacists. We discussed how we at IQVIA Interface have been following ADA/EASC and then NICE NG28 guidance to prevent heart attacks and strokes in diabetic patients. This is a huge opportunity for pharmacy / pharmacists to implement this in their day to day patient contacts. The NICE guidance has been released for over 2 years yet in a sample of recent practices we've worked in only 29% on average of patients are treated according to guidelines at baseline. #IQVIAMAPA
