In this study it is aimed to determine the usage level and resource efficiency of peach productio... more In this study it is aimed to determine the usage level and resource efficiency of peach production inputs. Research area includes Bursa province. According to data from the year 2009, peaches with the 410 thousand ton production value, 10 thousand ton export value has an importance place in our country’s economy. Marmara Region (first place to Bursa) is leading in terms of production and export. In the research area, 30 agricultural organizations were examined and the gathered data is analyzed with the help of Cobb-Douglas production function. It was determined that, between the examined variables, the relations between fertilizer expenses and the other factors are relatively high. While fertilizer and irrigation expenses affect each other negatively, irrigation and labor expenses affect each other positively. According to this, it can be said that labor expenses takes a large place in irrigation expenses. When the marginal rate of technical substitution between production factors is examined it appears that fertilizer factor is used excessively relative to the other factors and irrigation factor is overused relative to labor and pesticides factors. In order to achieve economic optimum, even though the land scope stays the same, it is needed to increase pesticide and labor utilization to optimum.

Turkey's 40% of the production of table olives, 28% of peaches production, 80% of table black figs, 19% of strawberries production, 11% of tomato production, 15% of pepper production, 50% of pea production are carried out in Bursa. However, there are some problems in the production and marketing in province. There are some of needs about planning of agricultural production, important marketing investment and regulations of organization in Bursa. Producer organizations should be supported in order to reduce the problems. Misuse of agricultural land should not be allowed. Food businesses must be used advantages of modern technics about production and marketing. About of solving marketing problems, the state must be supported marketing infrastructure as well as marketing services. Unregistered trade in food should be avoided. Vertical integration and contract manufacturing expanded for solving marketing problems. Supported by exports of agricultural and food products.

Tesaduf bloklari deneme deseninde 4 tekrarlamali olarak 1996-1997 yillarinda yapilan iki yillik denemede 11 cesit kullanilmistir. Elde edilen veriler cok degiskenli istatistik analiz yontemleri ile degerlendirilmistir.Iki yillik sonuclara gore, gozlenen tum ozelliklerde cesitler arasi farkliliklarin onemli oldugu saptanmistir. Dane verimi bakimindan en yuksek degeri, Isparta yoresinde yaygin olarak kullanilan uretilip tuketime sunulan Ispanyol nohut (125.6 kg/da) ve Akcin-91 (123.2 Kg/da) verirken, diger cesit ve hatlardan dusuk dane verimi (104.6-115.3 kg/da) elde edilmistir. Ana bilesenli faktor analizi sonuclarina gore bir anabilesen (PC1) elde edilmistir. Buna gore, cesitler benzerliklerine gore bir gurupta toplanmaktadir. Arastirma bolgesi Corum ilini kapsamaktadir. Arastirma bolgesinde 27 tarim isletmesi incelenmis ve toplanan veriler kullanilarak Cobb-Douglas uretim fonksiyonu tahmin edilmistir. Kimyasal ilac kullanimi haric, bagimli ve bagimsiz degiskenler aralarindaki iliskiler istatiksel anlamda onemli bulunmustur. Arazi genisliginin, kullanilan gubrenin ve isgucu miktarinin artirilmasi gayrisafi uretim degerini artiracaktir. Uretim faktorleri ekonomik optimumun altinda kullanilmaktadir.

The purpose of this study was to determine energy equivalents of inputs and output in maize produ... more The purpose of this study was to determine energy equivalents of inputs and output in maize production in Bursa province. The data in this study were collected from maize farms in Bursa province, Karacabey district. Questionnaires were administered through face-to-face interview in 2011 July, 2011. The results of the study show that fertilizers have the highest rate of energy equivalency of all the inputs used in maize production at 51.47%. The energy equivalent rate of electricity is 20.30% and the energy equivalent rate of fuel is 23.29%. The energy equivalent rates for human power, machinery, chemicals and water for irrigation were determined to be low in maize production. According to the output/input ratio calculated, the energy ratio is 0.76 in maize production in the research area. This ratio implies that the inputs used in maize production have not been used effectively. Ineffective use of these resources also causes environmental problems.

This study aims to determine the long-term relationship between the agricultural gross national p... more This study aims to determine the long-term relationship between the agricultural gross national product and agricultural export in Turkey between the years 1998-2017. In the determination of the relationship, gross domestic product and the annual agricultural export data (1998-2017) were used. Initially, the unit root test was performed to identify long-term analysis. ADF method was used for the unit root test. In the long-term cointegration determination between the variables, Johansen cointegration analysis was performed. The presence of cointegration between the variables was determined in the cointegration test. The error correction model (VECM) was estimated based on the existence of a long-term relationship. Granger causality test was performed to determine the direction of the relationship between the variables. The causality analysis results reveal a bidirectional relationship between agricultural gross national product and agricultural exports in Turkey. The change in agricultural gross national product will also affect agricultural exports in an additional direction or the opposite. The growing importance of agriculture and supporting it in the economy will have a positive impact on the increase in national income.
