This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of planting mangroves Rhizophora ... more This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of planting mangroves Rhizophora sp using hydroponic saplings compared to conventional polybag saplings. The hydroponic method was tested to increase the efficiency of mangrove planting through effective effectiveness that is lighter and easier to carry in large quantities. This research involves planting mangrove seedlings on a field scale using both methods. The results showed that hydroponic saplings had better effectiveness and efficiency performance than polybag saplings. The advantages of hydroponic saplings in terms of portability and the ability to plant in large quantities can be an attractive alternative in conservation and rehabilitation efforts for mangrove ecosystems. The results of this research indicate that the use of hydroponic saplings in planting can increase effectiveness by 4,512-5,869%, where 1 person can carry 294-385 saplings compared to saplings in small size polybags where 1 person can only carry 7 saplings and can achieve efficiency by 2 %, where 1 Ha only requires 7-9 people compared to saplings in large polybags where 382-384 people have to carry them people, which means it can reduce the number of people 98 % that perform significantly improve from polybag saplings.

The increase of the organic carbon in the environment that was not followed by carbon adsorbents ... more The increase of the organic carbon in the environment that was not followed by carbon adsorbents will trigger climate change that contributes to global warming. The mangrove forest is the ecosystem that can absorb carbon emission from the environment and reserve it in its leaves, stems, and sediment. This research aimed to show the information related to the estimated organic carbon value stored in the mangrove forest’s sediments on Dompak Island. This research was conducted in December 2020 at Dompak Island, Riau Islands. Carbon stock data was evaluated using the LOI (Loss On Ignition) method. The sediment specimens were collected from 5 stations. The result showed that the north station has the highest carbon content, 443.1 tons C/ha, and the south station has the lowest carbon content, 223.65 tons C/ha. The result from the statistic analysis using a one-way ANOVA test between the locations showed that the organic value carbon content in Dompak Island with the significance value of 0.05 stated that there is no real difference.

This study discusses the legal analysis of mangrove damage compensation with the economic valuation in Bintan. This type of research is normative-empirical legal. To provide a deterrent effect and save the environment as well as economic losses to Mangroves. Based on Ministerial Regulation Number 7 of 2014 concerning Environmental Losses Due to Pollution and/or Environmental Damage, describes community losses due to environmental damage, namely those that have an impact on community losses. Economic valuation of compensation due to mangrove destruction. If this value is calculated on the income of fishermen as a whole for all fishermen who are in the mangrove area in Bintan, Economic valuation calculation The income of marginal fishermen who use mangroves in Bintan is Rp200,000 minus Rp70,000 (as operational costs) = Rp130,000,-per day. IDR 130,000 x 20 days (going to sea in a month) = IDR 2,600,000 (monthly income). So that the calculation of the loss of edge fishermen due to mangrove pollution is Rp2,600,000 per month because they cannot go to sea. This is with the consideration that the ship/sampan can be damaged as well as the fishing gear damaged due to being exposed to a large amount of black oil spill. As an ecotourism area in Bintan Regency, it can be calculated using the travel cost method, so that the action of the valuation in 1 month is as follows:

Anchors for tubular propagules with a length of 20 cm with diameters of 0.5, 1, 2, and 4 inch were tested, the analysis using one way Anova showed the difference was p<0.001 followed by the tukey post hoc test which showed that the anchor with a length of 20 cm with a diameter of 4 inches had the ability to withstand high the highest with a weight of 9,618.33+96 g. The results of the application in the field showed that an anchor model D with a length of 20 cm with a diameter of 4 inches was able to hold 4 saplings compared to propagules without an anchor.

One of the functions of mangrove roots is to prevent the release of garbage into the open sea. This is due to the shape of the roots that make garbage snagged (caught) on the sidelines of the roots. The purpose of this study was to analyze the capture of marine debris in the mangrove roots of Rhizopora sp in the Sengarang Besar ecosystem. This research was conducted in December 2021 in the mangrove forest of Senggarang Besar. The method used is the line transect method with 10 Rhizopora sp mangrove trees located on the coast. Then, data analysis on the density of waste caught in the mangrove roots of Rhizopora sp. A study regarding the different culture methods on the growth performance of K. striatum in Pelakak Village waters, Lingga District, Riau Islands has never been reported. This study aimed to determine the effect of different culture methods on the growth performance of Kappaphycus striatum seaweed. This study used a completely randomized block design with three treatments and three replications, namely bottom method (P1), off-bottom (P2), and longline method (P3). There were 351 seaweed seeds with 100 g weight per each seed, that are placed in nine culture plots. The culture plot was constructed as a 4 m × 1.5 m square with wooden stakes at both ends and polyethylene ropes installed at a distance of 0.5 m. Each rope stretch was tied at 0.3 m distance for seed planting. Parameters observed in this study were absolute growth rate, specific growth rate, and production rate of the seaweed. The results showed that the absolute growth rate, specific growth rate, and production rate were affected by the culture method (p<0.05). The seaweed group reared in a longline method (P3) obtained the best results, compared to other methods, at 2.34% per day for specific growth rate and 245.7 g/m 2 for production rate. Therefore, the longline method can be applied in the Pelakak Village waters, Lingga District.

This study aims to determine the dose of squid oil attractant to increase the feeding response of... more This study aims to determine the dose of squid oil attractant to increase the feeding response of grouper Epinephelus fuscoguttatus x Epinephelus lanceolatus. This research was conducted in March 2020 at the Fish Seed Center, Pengujan Village, Bintan Regency, Riau Islands Province. The method used was an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications, where treatment K: (Megami feed without attractants), treatment A: (Megami feed + 6 ml/kg of squid oil), treatment B : (Megami feed + 9 ml/kg squid oil), treatment C: (Megami feed + 12 ml/kg squid oil). Data analysis with Analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Duncan's continued test, showed that the fastest response of fish to feed was at a dose of 12 ml/kg or treatment C was the fastest treatment, the results obtained were at the level of feed consumption (99.23 ± 0.67%) and survival rate (100 ± 0.00%).

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli 2015 di hutan Mangrove Sungai Nyirih Ko... more ABSTRAK Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli 2015 di hutan Mangrove Sungai Nyirih Kota Tanjungpinang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara jenis substrat dengan kerapatan vegetasi Rhizophora sp. Metode yang digunakan untuk mencuplik pohon Rhizophora sp. adalah transek garis dimana pada masing-masing plot pengamatan diambil sampel substrat pada kedalaman 30 cm. Data yang terkumpul ditabulasikan dan dikelompokkan bedasarkan jenis variabel, data jenis substrat sebagai variabel bebas (X) dan kerapatan pohon Rhizophora sp. sebagai variabel terikat (Y). Dari analisis yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara jenis substrat dengan kerapatan pohon Rhizophora sp. hal ini diketahui dari hasil perhitungan nilai Pearson Chi-Square. Nilai hitung Pearson Chi-Square adalah 77,877 sedangkan nilai Chi-Square tabel adalah 46,194. Jadi 77,877 (nilai hitung Chi-Square) > (nilai Chi-Square tabel) yaitu 46,194. Maka kesimpulannya adalah terdapat hubungan antara jenis substrat dengan jumlah total pohon genus Rhizophora sp. Secara deskriptif jenis hubungan diketahui melalui bentuk garis linier dan distribusi data dalam diagram kartesius dengan menggunakan software microsoft excel 2010. Gambaran hubungan yang didapatkan secara deskriptif adalah hubungan negatif dengan distribusi data yang menyebar. ABSTRACT The research had been conducted in July 2015 in Sungai Nyirih mangrove forest Tanjungpinang City. The purpose of this research are to know the correlation between the typical substrate and the density of Rhizophora sp. in Sungai Nyirih mangrove forest. The methods used to take Rhizophora sp. tree density is line transect where in every observasion plots were taken the sample of substrate in 30 cm deepness. All data are tabulation appropriate based on the type of variable data. Data of the type substrate as independent variable (X) and the density of Rhizophora sp. tree as dependent variable (Y). From the analysis data calculation can conclude thats : the result of this analysis show the correlation between the typical substrate and the density of Rhizophora sp. in Sungai Nyirih Mangrove Forest. This correlation are know by the result of Pearson Chi-Square. The result of Pearson Chi-Square calculated is 77,877 > Chi-Square table (46,194). So, that is indicated the corelation between the typical substrate and the density of Rhizophora sp. The typical corelation are know with descriptive linier line and data distribution in cartesius diagram by microsoft excel 2010 analysis. The line linier in this analysis show the corelation between the typical substrate and the density of Rhizophora sp. is negative corelation with spread data. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas Gastropoda pada perairan kampung Bar... more Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas Gastropoda pada perairan kampung Baru Lagoi. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret-Juni 2015. Sampling Gastropoda menggunakan transek kuadran dengan jarak transek 50 m dan jarak antar plot 10 m serta ukuran plot 2x2 m 2 . Pengukuran parameter kualitas perairan secara in situ dan sampel sedimen dianalisis menggunakan metode ayakan kering di laboratorium FIKP-UMRAH. Hasil pengamatan ditemukan 16 jenis Gastropoda pada perairan Kampung Baru Lagoi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan keanekaragaman Gastropoda pada perairan Kampung Baru Lagoi mencapai 2.525 berdasarkan kriteria indeks nilai yang diperoleh berada pada kategori tinggi, keseragaman Gastropoda mencapai 0.9107 berdasarkan kriteria indeks nilai yang diperoleh berada pada kategori tinggi, dominansi Gastropoda di Perairan kampung Baru mencapai 0.09948 berdasarkan kriteria indeks nilai yang diperoleh berada pada kategori rendah.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai keanekaragaman gastropoda yang ada ... more Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai keanekaragaman gastropoda yang ada di perairan litoral Pulau Pengujan Kabupaten Bintan. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari sampai Februari 2015. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode random sampling / metode acak. Jumlah titik sampling yang didapat berjumlah 38 titik sampling dengan plot sampling berukuran 1x1m 2 . Setiap plot sampling meliputi pangambilan sample gastropoda, pengukuran parameter perairan dan sample sedimen. Hasil pengamatan gastropoda ditemukan 9 spesies gastropoda pada perairan litoral Pulau Pengujan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan keanekaragaman dengan nilai 1,97 yang merupakan katagori sedang berdasarkan indeks keanekaragaman, nilai keseragaman berjumlah 0,89 dengan katagori tinggi berdasarkan indeks keseragaman sedangkan untuk nilai dominansi berjumlah 0,16 dan dikatagorikan dominansi rendah berdasarkan indeks dominansi.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the capture of marine debris in the mangrove roots of Rhizopora sp in the Sengarang Besar ecosystem. This study aimed to determine the effect of different culture methods on the growth performance of Kappaphycus striatum seaweed. This study used a completely randomized block design with three treatments and three replications, namely bottom method (P1), off-bottom (P2), and longline method (P3). There were 351 seaweed seeds with 100 g weight per each seed, that are placed in nine culture plots. The culture plot was constructed as a 4 m × 1.5 m square with wooden stakes at both ends and polyethylene ropes installed at a distance of 0.5 m. Each rope stretch was tied at 0.3 m distance for seed planting. Parameters observed in this study were absolute growth rate, specific growth rate, and production rate of the seaweed. The results showed that the absolute growth rate, specific growth rate, and production rate were affected by the culture method (p<0.05). The seaweed group reared in a longline method (P3) obtained the best results, compared to other methods, at 2.34% per day for specific growth rate and 245.7 g/m 2 for production rate. Therefore, the longline method can be applied in the Pelakak Village waters, Lingga District.

The hydroponic method was tested to increase the efficiency of mangrove planting through effective effectiveness that is lighter and easier to carry in large quantities. This research involves planting mangrove seedlings on a field scale using both methods. The results showed that hydroponic saplings had better effectiveness and efficiency performance than polybag saplings. The advantages of hydroponic saplings in terms of portability and the ability to plant in large quantities can be an attractive alternative in conservation and rehabilitation efforts for mangrove ecosystems. The results of this research indicate that the use of hydroponic saplings in planting can increase effectiveness by 4,512-5,869%, where 1 person can carry 294-385 saplings compared to saplings in small size polybags where 1 person can only carry 7 saplings and can achieve efficiency by 2 %, where 1 Ha only requires 7-9 people compared to saplings in large polybags where 382-384 people have to carry them people, which means it can reduce the number of people 98 % that perform significantly improve from polybag saplings.

This research was conducted in March 2020 at the Fish Seed Center, Pengujan Village, Bintan Regency, Riau Islands Province. The method used was an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications, where treatment K: (Megami feed without attractants), treatment A: (Megami feed + 6 ml/kg of squid oil), treatment B : (Megami feed + 9 ml/kg squid oil), treatment C: (Megami feed + 12 ml/kg squid oil). Data analysis with Analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Duncan's continued test, showed that the fastest response of fish to feed was at a dose of 12 ml/kg or treatment C was the fastest treatment, the results obtained were at the level of feed consumption (99.23 ± 0.67%) and survival rate (100 ± 0.00%).

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara jenis substrat dengan kerapatan vegetasi Rhizophora sp. Metode yang digunakan untuk mencuplik pohon Rhizophora sp. adalah transek garis dimana pada masing-masing plot pengamatan diambil sampel substrat pada kedalaman 30 cm. Data yang terkumpul ditabulasikan dan dikelompokkan bedasarkan jenis variabel, data jenis substrat sebagai variabel bebas (X) dan kerapatan pohon Rhizophora sp. sebagai variabel terikat (Y). Dari analisis yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara jenis substrat dengan kerapatan pohon Rhizophora sp. hal ini diketahui dari hasil perhitungan nilai Pearson Chi-Square. Nilai hitung Pearson Chi-Square adalah 77,877 sedangkan nilai Chi-Square tabel adalah 46,194. Jadi 77,877 (nilai hitung Chi-Square) > (nilai Chi-Square tabel) yaitu 46,194. Maka kesimpulannya adalah terdapat hubungan antara jenis substrat dengan jumlah total pohon genus Rhizophora sp. Secara deskriptif jenis hubungan diketahui melalui bentuk garis linier dan distribusi data dalam diagram kartesius dengan menggunakan software microsoft excel 2010. Gambaran hubungan yang didapatkan secara deskriptif adalah hubungan negatif dengan distribusi data yang menyebar. ABSTRACT The research had been conducted in July 2015 in Sungai Nyirih mangrove forest Tanjungpinang City. The purpose of this research are to know the correlation between the typical substrate and the density of Rhizophora sp. in Sungai Nyirih mangrove forest. The methods used to take Rhizophora sp. tree density is line transect where in every observasion plots were taken the sample of substrate in 30 cm deepness. All data are tabulation appropriate based on the type of variable data. Data of the type substrate as independent variable (X) and the density of Rhizophora sp. tree as dependent variable (Y). From the analysis data calculation can conclude thats : the result of this analysis show the correlation between the typical substrate and the density of Rhizophora sp. in Sungai Nyirih Mangrove Forest. This correlation are know by the result of Pearson Chi-Square. The result of Pearson Chi-Square calculated is 77,877 > Chi-Square table (46,194). So, that is indicated the corelation between the typical substrate and the density of Rhizophora sp. The typical corelation are know with descriptive linier line and data distribution in cartesius diagram by microsoft excel 2010 analysis. The line linier in this analysis show the corelation between the typical substrate and the density of Rhizophora sp. is negative corelation with spread data. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas Gastropoda pada perairan kampung Bar... more Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas Gastropoda pada perairan kampung Baru Lagoi. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret-Juni 2015. Sampling Gastropoda menggunakan transek kuadran dengan jarak transek 50 m dan jarak antar plot 10 m serta ukuran plot 2x2 m 2 . Pengukuran parameter kualitas perairan secara in situ dan sampel sedimen dianalisis menggunakan metode ayakan kering di laboratorium FIKP-UMRAH. Hasil pengamatan ditemukan 16 jenis Gastropoda pada perairan Kampung Baru Lagoi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan keanekaragaman Gastropoda pada perairan Kampung Baru Lagoi mencapai 2.525 berdasarkan kriteria indeks nilai yang diperoleh berada pada kategori tinggi, keseragaman Gastropoda mencapai 0.9107 berdasarkan kriteria indeks nilai yang diperoleh berada pada kategori tinggi, dominansi Gastropoda di Perairan kampung Baru mencapai 0.09948 berdasarkan kriteria indeks nilai yang diperoleh berada pada kategori rendah.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai keanekaragaman gastropoda yang ada ... more Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai keanekaragaman gastropoda yang ada di perairan litoral Pulau Pengujan Kabupaten Bintan. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari sampai Februari 2015. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode random sampling / metode acak. Jumlah titik sampling yang didapat berjumlah 38 titik sampling dengan plot sampling berukuran 1x1m 2 . Setiap plot sampling meliputi pangambilan sample gastropoda, pengukuran parameter perairan dan sample sedimen. Hasil pengamatan gastropoda ditemukan 9 spesies gastropoda pada perairan litoral Pulau Pengujan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan keanekaragaman dengan nilai 1,97 yang merupakan katagori sedang berdasarkan indeks keanekaragaman, nilai keseragaman berjumlah 0,89 dengan katagori tinggi berdasarkan indeks keseragaman sedangkan untuk nilai dominansi berjumlah 0,16 dan dikatagorikan dominansi rendah berdasarkan indeks dominansi.
