One of these topics is religious beliefs in divine religions, which has always been one of the most important challenges in the field of organ donation. Although there are differences in the views of different religions regarding organ donation, many of these views are close to each other. Often, different sects and religions have accepted organ transplantation with their own conditions. Based on Islamic jurisprudence and Shariah principles, organ donation is permissible under certain conditions; most religious scholars have also accepted this opinion. The Muslim holy book (Qur’an 5:32) has mentioned, “if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people.”

Well-conducted evaluations can provide an insight into how to develop and implement more effective interventions to prevent farmers and farmworkers’ exposure to pesticides. This review aimed to summarize the literature on the effectiveness of interventions to promote pesticide safety and reduce pesticide exposure among farmers and farmworkers. Methods A comprehensive search on PubMed, Embase, ISI Web of Science, Scopus, Science Direct, Agricola, NIOSHTIC, and Agris databases was performed to identify relevant studies published from 2000 to 2019. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and quasi-experimental studies assessing the effectiveness of interventions on a variety of outcomes related to pesticide exposure were considered. The searches were restricted to articles written in English. The methodological quality of included reviews was appraised using the Effective Public Health Practice Project qu...

Methods This cross-sectional study was conducted among 600 employees from 57 offices in Hamadan, Iran, in 2018. Participants were selected randomly and surveyed on being a donor and their perceptions regarding signing the donor card. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was conducted to determine the inter-relationship between the studied variables. Results Participants’ mean age was 39.5 (SD = 7.0). 20% of participants had a signed donor card. Descriptive norms (β = 0.53, p

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of interventions in increasing medical adherence in the elderly with type 2 diabetes. Methods The databases of Cochrane, Embase, PubMed, Scopus, Science Direct, and web of science were searched until April 2017 free from time and language limitation. In review, only randomized controlled trial (RCT) design studies were investigated. The studies of interest were evaluated from three perspectives: educational intervention with or without theories/models of health education and promotion, educational intervention (individual or group education), and noneducational intervention to increase medical adherence. The qualification of RCTs was evaluated through Cochrane Collaboration Risk of Bias Tool. Results Finally, five studies were considered in this systematic review. Educational interventions w...

Twenty nine patients with GBS were included in our study. Clinical, laboratory, electrophysiological and prognostic features of the patients were evaluated retrospectively. Method: Twenty-nine patients with GBS according to Asburys criteria were retrospectively evaluated for about ten years from 1993 to 2002. The patients were clinically classified according to the criteria of Hughes and Italian GBS study group. Patients were divided in to four groups due to their electrophysiological evaluation: acute inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (AIDP), axonal forms (AMAN, AMSAN), Miller Fishers Syndrome (MFS) and unclassified. All patients were evaluated for age, gender, type of GBS, antecedent events, initial symptoms, CSF features, treatment, scores of GBS and complications. Findings: AIDP were found in 45% of patients, axonal form in 34.5%, MFS in 3.5% and u...
