Das Papier geht auf die Ursachen des Streits ein, der heute noch als erste Auseinandersetzung gilt mit den autoritären Gesellschaftsvorstellungen des Marxismus. Die Untersuchung basiert auf den Quellen der Zeit und erarbeitete eine alternative Interpretation, warum es zum Streit kam und was dieser aussagt in Bezug auf die marxistische Staatstheorie.

Porcelain is the carrier of culture; the trading routes and ships were the means; and the trade itself was the mechanism for the intercultural contacts.

The world of international cooperation is in transition. Global power shifts and the rise of popu... more The world of international cooperation is in transition. Global power shifts and the rise of populism have made the world multipolar, but not necessarily more multilateral. The traditional North–South aid system is being called into question, while transnational challenges are affecting all countries and require stronger global partnerships. In this context, the graduation of countries from Official Development Assistance (ODA) stands out as a focal topic in connecting current debates.
Facilitated by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), this publication sees experts from various sectors and regions share and exchange their views in open dialogues and spotlight texts. They embed ODA graduation in its broader global context, discuss its implications and call for a new partnership based on global goals and knowledge sharing. This collection of thoughts and perspectives will thus hopefully serve as a milestone in the debate on transforming international cooperation.

The paper discusses the relevance of the developing country (ODA) status of China. It stresses th... more The paper discusses the relevance of the developing country (ODA) status of China. It stresses the fact, that even China is still officially a developing country, most donors have left already. It is not any longer justified to provide ODA funds to China. This however leads to the problem, that many communication lines between China and developed OECD countries have been cut. This is not in the interest of the OECD countries. Alternatives are discussed.
