Based on the set goal, the issue of perception and attitudes of employees were evaluated through data obtained by a questionnaire survey through a sample survey in 816 companies operating in the Slovak Republic. The obtained data were analyzed using association analysis by application of the independence test based on formulated hypotheses and the found dependencies were presented by correspondence analysis. Innovative activities of companies do not always have to be perceived only positively by employees and it is also appropriate to consider the opposite behavior of employees. To minimize adverse events, we recommend companies formulate appropriate strategies to reduce and overcome the effects of neg...

Fruit and vegetables consumption increases in the Slovakia and the composition of products consum... more Fruit and vegetables consumption increases in the Slovakia and the composition of products consumed changes as nations become wealthier. Higher incomes provide consumers with freedom to make purchasing decisions based on factors other than meeting basic caloric needs. Many studies show a correlation between the level of income and consumption of fruits and vegetables-low-income groups generally consume less fruit and vegetables than higher income groups. High costs likely negatively affect the level of consumption of fruit and vegetables. But not the only low-income groups. Also, people with higher incomes perceive price as a barrier to consumption of these foods. However, it seems that there is a problem more for people with low incomes. Accessibility is therefore likely to be only one of several factors that mitigate the impact of income levels on fruit and vegetable consumption. The paper presents an analysis of the income the demand for fruits and vegetables, which should be the basis for the development of food policy. In microeconomics, Engel curves are used to describe how the demanded quantity for a particular good or service changes as the income level of the consumer changes.

The biofilm profile of Stenotrophonomonas maltophilia and Bacillus subtilis were assessed using the mass spectrometry MALDI-TOF MS Biotyper and the antibiofilm activity of Citrus aurantium (CAEO) was studied on wood and glass surfaces. A semi-quantitative composition using a modified version was applied for the CAEO characterization. The antioxidant activity of CAEO was determined using the DPPH method. The antimicrobial activity was analyzed by disc diffusion for two biofilm producing bacteria, while the vapor phase was used for three penicillia. The antibiofilm activity was observed with the agar microdilution method. The molecular differences of biofilm formation on different days were analyzed, and the genetic similarity was studied with dendrograms constructed from MSP spectra to illustrate the grouping profiles of...

There is thus strong empirical and theoretical interest to analyze the cross-section Engel function of real populations. A prerequisite of any economic interpretation is a reasonable estimation of these curves from given cross-section data containing households' expenditures and income. In submitted paper the Engel curves computation was applied on the Slovak household's income and expenditure. A double-log specifi cation of the Engel's function has been chosen in order to estimate the expenditure elasticity of households by using an economic status of households' head at work for each household by children per person. The household Budget Survey of the Slovak Statistical offi ce was used for the period 2004-2014. Analysis of income elasticity demonstrated negative correlation of food expenditure in Slovak households and the number of children in all food groups of the consumer basket classifi ed as necessary goods. Examination of the households based on the economic activity of their head (employee, self-employed, retired, and others) showed differences in availability of various food groups for the households (inferior, necessary, luxury goods). Increased amount of food groups were included within the luxury category in following order: the households with self-employed head, employed household head, and retirees. Households without children have meat and fats & oils included in the category inferior goods, other types of households according to the number of children considered all types of food in the consumer basket as necessary goods. Results provide deeper knowledge about consumers' behavior of Slovak households.

The aim of the paper is to analyze a situation in Slovakia and make the highlights of the aspect`s consumer decisions. We would like to initiate that the sustainability of the country is much easier to quantify by using the data about consumption than counting footprints or other indicators focusing on different aspects of sustainability. The Consumption of the households is a better indicator for identifying sustainability and environmental performance. From the viewpoint of the economic situation in Slovakia it could be very simply said that the population tends to sustainable consumption if expenses on the goods and services have kept growing. The Analysis shows that the increase in prices for food and other items of daily life affect the population with a lower income level. They buy less food products and from the economic...

The research aim of this paper allows for an identification of the patterns behaviour consumptions by using of association rules, because of knowledge ́s importance of segmentation differences between consumers and their opinions on current sustainable tendencies. The research area of sustainability will be in Slovakia still discussed, primarily because of impacts and consumer ́s influencing to product ́s buying, that are safety to environment and to nature. We emphasize an importance of sustainability in consumer behaviour and we detailed focused on segmentation differences between respondents. We addressed a sample made by 318 respondents. Ecological efficiency is usually measured by choosen environmental performance indicator – ecological footprint. We try to find improvements for each country from the economics viewpoint. In general, DEA assumes that inputs and outputs are ‘goods’, but from an ecological perspective also ‘bads’ have to be considered. In the literature, ‘bads’ are treated in different and sometimes arbitrarily chosen ways. Data were obtained from the datasets National Footprint Accounts, available on the www.footprintnetwork.org. Data about international trade were obtained from Eurostat. Our interest is focused on the fact „Is the ecological footprint indeed contributive?“ The target of article rest on the identify DEA models for countries EU 27. There are many techniques used to identify management zones. The most used technique is k-means clustering, where the number of clusters is managed by the user. The paper deals with clustering the yield data and electromagnetic data of a 17 ha field using the Ward’s method followed by the k-means clustering method. The cubic clustering criterion was used to determine the number of clusters. Based on results, it can be concluded that it is beneficial to combine the k-means clustering method with the hierarchic method (Ward’s method).
