Le persone senza dimora hanno pagato un prezzo elevatissimo nella fase iniziale della pandemia da... more Le persone senza dimora hanno pagato un prezzo elevatissimo nella fase iniziale della pandemia da Covid-19, quando l’appello responsabile #iorestoacasa è suonato come un paradosso. Al contempo, i servizi di accoglienza hanno dovuto immediatamente adattare le strutture alle misure di emergenza nazionali. L’indagine ha avuto lo scopo di analizzare gli effetti della pandemia sui servizi per la grave marginalità, le risposte organizzative adottate, i risvolti sul lavoro degli operatori sociali e sulle persone senza dimora. Sono stati infine messi in luce gli apprendimenti e gli sviluppi futuri degli interventi nel campo della grave emarginazione adulta. ******************************** EN: Since the early stages of the pandemic, homeless people have suffered the effects of the healthy emergency, as the appeal for #Stayathome sounded like a paradox for those living rough. This article describes how the educational role of poor mothers, both in terms of socialization o... more This article describes how the educational role of poor mothers, both in terms of socialization of their children and in supporting them in schooling, is socially constructed, understood and played in Southern European societies. In this context the social welfare is of familistic type and the childcare system is not sufficiently developed. The analysis is based on the findings of two research projects, carried out in Rione Sanità, a poor neighbourhood in the historic centre of Naples, in Southern Italy. Here, poverty affects a large part of the population, concentrated in some inner areas and in big peripheral suburbs. Within the ‘Neapolitan survival model’, mothers/women play a key role in all contexts. They carry a heavy burden of responsibilities, both inside and outside the family.
